Fantastic, seems to be a great passer of the ball too. Him swatting away Watmore just before half-time was phenomenal.

Think it was mentioned in the match thread but he does look like a CB being asked to play full back. I really like him though, that pass for the third was unreal.

Good result , more so considering the changes. Nelson, Casadei and Cannon (probably should've had at least one more, mind) all tidy. Was surprised at how poor Jakub's distribution was considering how much it's been cited as one of his better attributes, bit hairy but he made some smart stops, too. Corners need sorting, we've got loads of height in the side now but are still getting bullied all too easily. Their second goal was playground stuff. Good performance all in all though, and in the hat!

I’m never in the know on stuff but my other half’s family are Posh fans and have a bit of an ear. Edwards was at at least a one of our home games at the back end of last season. I thought we’d have a look despite the relegation to be honest. He makes ideal sense for Palace though.

Its insane how much he moves like Nugent. He has pretty much the same quite short (but quick) stride length and holds his arms in exactly the same way.

I genuinely can't comprehend why any match going fan who isn't a member of UFS would have an issue with anything they're trying to do (or have done). I'm not a member, I don't sit in the Kop, but I think what they've done, against what sounds like at best indifference and at worst resistance from the club, is really bloody admirable. Everything on their agenda suits the average match going fan, regardless of where you sit and regardless of how regularly you attend. I think they're fantastic. People seem to get repeatedly offended by them because they choose to sit on their hands, when they never really attack that (as proven by their recent @BSLBPod appearance), they simply offer an alternative for anyone choosing to make noise or support their side in a different way. I think they're fantastic and bring some character to what is becoming an increasingly homogenised experience.

Not for me, I think it’s oversimplifying to say Covid ruined our chances of top 4. Our form after getting pumped by Liverpool on Boxing Day 2019 until when the league was suspended wasn’t disastrous but was definitely patchy, it was quite clear we were wobbling a bit. We were beaten by Southampton, Burnley and Norwich in that period. That’s quite bad. A 0-0 draw on Valentines Day 2020 at Molineux being the nadir of frankly ****ing terrible football games.

Villa was good but we weren’t in control half as much as we were against Spurs. We battered them. At Villa Park we rode our luck quite a bit.

He absolutely was. He was a disaster post-WC, couldn't seemingly judge the flight of the ball let alone anything else. I don't necessarily pin his failings in that period entirely on him but he was ****ing rancid. Fantastic this season though and we definitely aren't flogging for "more or less the same price"
