LCFC Fan Engagement – The latest ‘Your Ninety Minutes’

Yes, supporters groups need to get together before these meetings so they can be aware of the full situation on certain topics so it can be challenged if they are fed lies. I remember years back I was doing journalism, the people running the course told us that the course was going to end early as the funding had been been pulled. Being journalists we investigated this (took one call to the tech funding the course) and found out that the funding was still in place for the course to finish and there was no reason to finish it early. We asked for a meeting with the head of the group running the course and sat and listened to his bullshit and how sorry he was for about an hour and then when he asked if there was any questions we hit him with all we knew. Never seen a bloke look so uncomfortable, like he’d been strung up by his own lies. Spluttering and stammering while we sat there grinning at him. Needless to say the course ran to its natural end -
There was definitely one season when he had piled on the weight, I can remember one match at the KP thinking how fat and unfit he looked. Probably did the first bit but than couldn’t get near anyone to injure them.

I mean is it just me? But I could barely understand anything he was saying in the clip anyway.

They’re just sounding bitter now. Isn’t the idea behind psr to prevent teams getting into financial trouble? yet their punishment could lead clubs onto the road of exactly that. It’s like points deductions for admin, a club is on its knees after financial mismanagement, the people that caused it have rode off into the sunset yet everyone who remains suffers. There needs to be another way.

Rumour has it he’s been abducted by aliens and they’ve mistakenly put him back 3 years into the future somewhere in the Brecon Beacons.

In all honesty I’m more disappointed with the off the pitch problems than the relegation, teams spend well, hire well and have success, and teams spend poorly, hire poorly and fail, it’s football through the generations, nothing has changed. But being made to feel like a criminal whenever I enter the stadium, the £25 charge, the extortionate match tickets, the lack of engagement with fans groups and supporters in general, the feeling that the running of the club has been taken away from those that know the community and care and put in the hands of those that only see the supporters as something to take advantage of and fleece for every penny they can get, the moving away from being a family club to a cold uncaring organisation. I’ve watched us win and lose, go up and down over the years and it’s a rollercoaster I love, but I’ve never felt as distant from the club as I do now, that’s what upsets me the most. I don’t want a change of ownership (yet), but I want them to address what has made the fans feel so distant from the club and try and move it back in the right direction, jumping on board with the FAB doesn’t give them credit yet as it’s like they’ve got all the unpopular decisions out the way and are now paying lip service, suddenly making out they care.

He’s 15 playing for the under 21’s, aren’t we already showing him a pathway, I’m sure when he’s ready he’ll get his chance.

OK, fine. We didn't breach, as found by the ruling. But you'll find my post focuses on both sides of the situation, the incompetence of the club and the restrictive rules in place holding clubs in false positions financially. You seen to have let your anger towards the club only focus on their wrongdoings.
-
It’s incompetence with regards to poor transfer activity and wages offered out to players. However if Daka, Soumare ect… had turned out good players worth what we are paying and we’d stayed up comfortably and qualified for Europe we’d still be in this position as villa and newcastle are now finding out. The rules are a restriction to being competive and are absolutely in need of challenging and changing. By all means go after the club for what they’ve done wrong or poorly but don’t let psr hide behind that.
-
Simon Jordan states that he wouldn’t let a club he runs break psr, but he ran palace into administration which is a far worse and more serious situation than breaking some rules that restrict competition. Secondly the allowable losses haven’t changed since psr was brought in over 10 years ago, this will further screw the smaller clubs as costs and transfer fees and wages rise. Kieran Maguire said on radio Leicester a few months back that if psr was index linked the figure would be a lot higher and if our alleged breach of £24m is true it would have put us under the threshold in this instance. For the sake of competition a level playing field needs setting up were any team can compete spending wise with any other club in the league, if this involves some sort of cap so be it, maybe if what the greedy six can spend is linked to the revenue of smaller clubs they will be more altruistic in spreading the wealth.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

I reckon Brad will be back next match. The new bloke announcing that the queues outside are down to mobile tickets wouldn’t have gone down well

My initial reaction was to laugh but that is a great photo for what he’s doing, it tells its own story.
