I don’t usually like playing good players not in their best position but we’d be better off with Ricardo at LB and Hamza at RB.
-
Anyone fancy starting a pointless discussion about taking the knee?
-
None of us can moan at that tbf. On paper looks a good 11.
-
Yass.
-
I agree. I think at his peak, in his position, he is the greatest player to ever play.
-
Tbf, I know you jest, but fvck me he was good wasn’t he?
-
Let’s do this.

If I were the manager I’d pick a team of 11 individuals with the aim of winning the game of football we have scheduled against Wrexham. I’d most likely have a goalkeeper then 10 outfield players. These would be the players I thought were the most likely to produce the result of a win in the aforementioned match. Before the game I’d tell the players to do their ruddy best to win. I’d recommend scoring and warn against conceding. At half time my talk would reflect the result at that juncture. If we were losing I’d ask them to do some things differently and try and win the match during the second half. If we were winning I’d say “more of the same lads, keep up the good work”. If we were drawing at half time I’d say something like “you’re almost there, well done for not losing but you could be winning. Try and be a bit more winny than losey in the second half please lads”. I would be happy if we won and sad if we lost. If we drew then mentally I would be somewhere in between happy and sad.

Loved it. Haven’t seen it ages, may watch again now.

Watched 28 Years Later last night. Wasn’t expecting much after the reception it got and it was flawed in many ways but actually really enjoyed it. And I’ve heard LOTS of people hated the ending but I thought it was good. Solid 7/10 for me. And that zombie schlong. 🤤

WBA (a) 1-1 Leicester Post Match thread

Decent result. Decent season so far. Reaction on here insane. Pretty standard fan hyperbole. I hate most of you. I hate myself. Life gets increasingly pointless. Really feel like I’ve aged this year. I read somewhere that at 44 you age more quickly than any other time and seems to be true so far. Just don’t feel myself. Conscious of my own mortality more than ever. The wider world as well, christ, can’t remember it feeling this perilous. Anyone else just feel like the warm, reassuring embrace of the void feels appealing? Anyway aye, decent result against a good team and on we go. -
Never in all my years supporting Leicester have I wanted to see an ex player do well as much as this. Fvck. Go one Vardy, absolutely smash the cvnting league.

Sometimes I become aware of breathing. Or blinking. Like I become consciously, mindfully aware of it. It’s awful. It’s happened a few times today. When it happens the panic of course is that it never ends. That I have to spend the rest of my life consciously breathing or blinking. That thought floors me. And terrifies me. I’m hoping sleep helps me forget about it. But fvck, this time it really feels permanent you know? Seems a decent goalkeeper tbf.

I think we were better than that. We finished 8th in MON’s last season right? And we’d won the League Cup twice in 3 years. We also looked better than ever at times that season. We were certainly a “great team” in terms of the history of Leicester City. I’d say that team was “great” generally. Up there with any Leicester team ever and a match for anyone in the league on their day at the time.

Best Leicester 11 of your lifetime (in terms of ability)

I was at the Sunderland game when we demolished them with Collymore, Heskey, etc. We were unreal. I agree with you. I genuinely think we were in the edge of something special. Then Collymore got injured, Heskey and MON both left, we appointed Taylor and the rest is history. Tragic. -
It’s funny because objectively he’s one of our most successful managers in many ways and he won the FA Cup but I can’t really look past Rodgers. I like him less than any other manager I can think of right now and whilst he brought us success I feel like he totally destroyed the team and the club.

I think we can say without doubt that Kante, Mahrez and Vardy are involved. World class. -

Yeah maybe. Like obviously Evans is a top defender and there may be arguments to say he was better than Elliott. But to say he was “far more complete” than Elliott is just untrue. Matt Elliott was honestly the best defender I’ve seen play for us (I was born in 1981 for reference). He was a big ugly brute and we were a very good yet scruffy and unfashionable team who probably punched above their weight due to great management and a siege mentality. Certainly many of our players were journeymen. But Izzet and Elliott were (in my opinion) as good as any players we’ve ever had in my lifetime (bar Kante, Mahrez and Vardy). As I say, he was kind of a big ugly brute in terms of stature but, not only was he an amazing, no nonsense defender, on the ball he was phenomenal. I haven’t seen us in person for a long time (I live in Scotland) but I lived in Leicester during some of Elliott’s time with us and I genuinely think he’s the best defender we’ve ever had. Also, as someone else pointed out, he scored seven league goals in a premier league season. Insane. -

I don’t think he was anywhere near as good as Matt Elliott personally. -

Kasper Ricardo Huth Elliott Fuchs Kante Mahrez Cambiasso Izzet Maddison Vardy I’d say Elliott was the better player. In my opinion Evans should not be near anyone’s team. Not fit to lace the boots of Elliott, Huth, Walsh, Morgan or even Taggart or Sinclair. Personally hold him high in “blame for our relegation” regard.
