I can see something like that happening. Arsenal won’t be worried about us so they might be happy to increase our odds of taking points off of their rivals. Out history however has spooked big clubs so they might not take that gamble
-
I don’t think many teams start in the premier league with a weaker team than the one they had in the championship.
-
might be one that gets to the end of the window and goes out on loan. As much as we wouldn’t want to pay 100k i’m sure arsenal don’t want to either
-
bring jeff home might as well have a laugh with it

Lcfc facebook would just be a battle of the zambians, gambians and gammons

great post. I also wanted to share this. A while back west ham were linked and had similar comments to us. But a montpellier fan stepped in to share the other side of the story. Make of it what you will, mistakes have been made but everyone deserves a chance to be heard as accusations will always follow a player.

The wage is still going in the expense list in that scenario, it’s still lowering it for us but obviously is still a bad deal. Let’s say we sold him for the amortization amount of 7m and his salary was 80k (idk) we pay 40k of it to get the deal done. we could then sign a player for 21 m on a 3 year contract, but the wage would have to be 40k for us to not worsen the situation. Or we would pay a lower fee and higher wages 15 m amortized is 5m so a spare 2m each season to add to the wages and be in the same situation. Basically then we sell that player after 2 years and start again 😅

Jordan Ayew was always the guy at the top of the non drafted list in my fantasy draft league… he was there purely for his consistent 2 or 3 points… nobody touched him because all 12 players knew how unlikely returns from him actually were
-
Starting to wonder if Jons forgotten we aren’t in europe and have less games? we don’t need bodies, we need quality
-
It’s not the ability, it’s not the lack of goals… it’s the age! He’s been a good servant for palace and helped their flair players thrive but he’s 32, which is when a player starts to slow down. We absolutely can’t have a team of coady, vestergarde, bdr, vardy and ayew it’s simply all built on days past. That’s not a way to grow the club and it wouldn’t be enough to survive even if we started on 0. Why do we want players on the way down when we can buy someone with a little more risk but with resale value. There’s plenty of young players out there that can do what ayew does it’s a lazy signing and as we’ve seen with bertrand and even albrighton, the drop off around that age can be significant! Particularly for a player that relies on athleticism. There’s a few things it signals, one is that we are still focused on this leadership all over the pitch angle and secondly that cooper wants to stick to what he knows… that’s dinosaur football management and a good manager would prefer talent over safety.

Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'

because he’s a championship manager who would get a free hit at the prem, without any real pressure -
both? sounds like our type of guy
-
you don’t stay up because of players like bdr and ayew … they are squad fillers that allow the superstars to win the games… we don’t have a mahrez, toney, mitrovic, eze, MGW to keep us in the league… I just think we have too much to do, especially with a big punishment pending. We need a striker badly, get a 15 goal player and we have a sniff otherwise this could get embarrassing
-
we’re locked in to go down, just sign players with a focus on the future. No point clogging up the club with signings like this

Who do you want for next season in the PL
Lambert09 replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Abraham Nelson Hamer/Sara and a player like oreily or Hatate That would do me nicely based on links we’ve had. I do think 4 are needed at minimum I wonder if we return for nico gonzalez -
Was surprised to see how much shorter our relegation odds were compared to our rivals. Really does highlight the struggle for the season. Anyway gone early with my end of season bet: Real Madrid winners Palermo winners Southampton relegation Sheffield u top 6 birmingham winners calisle top 7 20 for 5k win probably cash out at 1k if my teams get off to a good start or partial cash out at least. I know cashouts are a mugs game but I enter my end of season bets with the intention to do it. You get surprisingly good returns even if one team is doing very poorly.
-
the links are either really good or awful… it’s mood swings all over… but at least this one can bring back some optimism because the last week has been pretty dire
-
I mean if you scout properly it’s not an issue. if you look at some of the past youth players, you can get a Brewster who of course you feel ripped off for, but it’s you also could get a solanke who justified his value and then some. It’s true that they don’t really let players go for reasonable fees though so you have to get it right

petrovic the only shock in there. We wouldn’t be interested in any of them as all would have been offered in the kdh negotiations
-
He did have a good season at sevilla though. I think he will definitely get a move off of the back of it. Won’t work in england but his style works in france… he’s just like ndombele Just have to hope his wages don’t put the breaks on any potential move as he supposedly had to take a pay cut just to go out on loan

okay hear me out, I know he’s not a full #10 but if we were happy with soule surely oscar bobb hits the same profile. I wonder if man city would consider the same sort of cash? He’s played accross the front 3 and surely he stays on the periphery of their team. They will have one eye on psr and it’s all profit. We were linked last year as well at some point -

who’s in charge? -
Braybrooke could be half as good as we think and still improve this midfield
-
have the fans united in a chant about enzo? is bernabe playing? What colour trainers is cooper wearing? someone answer the important questions
