wonder if this is going to be like when we won the prem. Forever known as Qpr winning us the league
-
i’ve posted lyrics to a song about chair twice and my post keeps disappearing. Am i being censored? 😂

cmon!!!!!

Qpr are in a similar position to us (in regards to their needs) they aren’t safe until they get another win on the board. No reason they can’t get something

Our team for tonight!
-
I think it’s fair to have a thread for this, seeing as this result could directly result in promotion. Cmon you R’s!!!!
-
could be right but i like to believe that this was just maresca grounding him. but i’ve had a theory for a while now that it’s the eagerness to shoot, that is why cannon has been dropped.

https://talksport.com/football/1844172/jamie-vardy-marc-albrighton-leicester-city-promotion-premier-league/ Firstly, what an absolute guy albrighton is…. but secondly this sounds like vardy has really stepped up to kick the squad into gear. Fantastic to hear!

Preston Away - Monday 29th April - Pre Match

is enzos lad playing in our under 11’s? surely not? -
problem is that at this level, unless you have the best players like man city… any system will eventually get found out. The best managers are the ones that find solutions. Brendan only had one way of playing. Same with De Z…. which I think is why so many of us are worried about how things could go with enzo at the top level once teams figure out the best way to play against us. Brighton have gone rotten very quickly.

Next Seasons Squad - Can we now talk about it?

i do wonder if wilf would like to stay. Can’t see him considering a pay cut though unfortunately. He’s been the most improved player by quite some distance. Funnily enough, Sangare who was our dream replacement for him, has been pretty woeful for the scum -
controversial but i actually think mads is a better shot stopper, than he is good with his feet

Development/Youth Squads 2023/2024 Thread - U18/U21

hasn’t the under 21 season finished? There could be a small chance that we are trying to prove to stockport that he’d be a good loan for league 1. It would be really nice to see we are being forward thinking like this as our loans have dwindled. but @moore_94 is probably right -
win on monday and the scene is set for will alves to score the goal that relegates blackburn, rustles their whole fan base and takes up the mantle from Vardy as the new team bastard

Southampton 5-0 post match mutual touching frisky party

basically they’re a bogey team that we batter every now and then -
a perfect example of a ref making decisions based on the score

Southampton 5-0 post match mutual touching frisky party

not to forget the draw against their 10 men that basically cost us top 4 -
depends what league we find ourselves in
-
those ipswich games look very tricky. I’d expect Leeds to win their remaining games now. Southampton aren’t going to want them in the playoffs, they’re hardly going to work to put them there

the thing that’s frustrating for me, is that enzo has all the tools to be a genuinely top manager. His man management seem excellent. his system is excellent when everyone is at the races. But I don’t think that will cover up the lack of willingness to adapt. The elephant in the room for me, is that his system is based on confidence. in the prem we are likely to get pasted by the top sides, no shame in that. But the problem is that picking yourself up might not be possible, when you get fixtures like man c, arsenal then villa… and then the whole game plan goes out the window as people start shying away from the ball. You can see that burnley have suffered from this, they’ve not really been able to play composed football in the winnable games they’ve had imo. Games like the sheffield one at the weekend were a little more dirty in how they got there. I think pre-season will say a lot, if we get a glimpse of a new system then we will know that he is just a perfectionist and needs time to implement a new strategy. I’m okay with that, just as long as it’s on his radar that this system won’t always be the way forward in a game. *edit For a final point on Burnley, as I did bring them up and obviously the most comparable side. firstly, I think enzo is better than kompany and has a much higher ceiling. But the second most important point, is that they had a terrible transfer window in the prem. I’m not convinced they improved anywhere and possibly had a weaker site as they lost Maatson and THB. Our recruitment has been good this season so there’s a potential we can excel there even on a limited budget.

Got proper sad when it hit me that we might only get 2 more games of vardy -
somebody should have told him that he could have just blown on him
-
I actually agree with maresca here. Southampton are a fast team and will counter us better than most sides. Coady and vestergarde would ask for trouble unlesss magically we switched to a low block (won’t happen) That ball over coady for the west brom goal was a bit of a warning sign.

Championship team of possible transfers. Who has impressed you?
Lambert09 replied to Kinowe Soorie's topic in Transfer Talk
yeah i was wondering what the story was for him. on loan from celtic is odd, is it just a case of Brendan things? He looked good and i’ve seen him score some important goals so wondered if he’s actually decent or not. -
i’ll never get the hate aimed towards this guy Its beyond weird at this point. Academy lad who’s not quite good enough for us sure, but leave the insults out. He won the fa cup with us and stepped in (before he was ready) because of a necessity at the time and overall did pretty well. I just don’t get how he would be looked at any more negatively than another youth team graduate who wasn’t at our level 🤷♂️
