Leicester 'could face points deduction next season'
Lambert09 replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Is that number confirmed anywhere? What is likely is that he will be on far reduced terms whilst in the championship. So you could be looking at 25k but that is all speculation. but let’s imagine it’s not. 40k is 2m per year. That’s more than most loan fees. You can’t sign anyone for 2m. Anyone with any sort of pedigree for free is at least 2m in a sign on fee. hamza can now be sold 100% for more than 2m, which is a profit in the books, rather than walking for free. and let’s just go to your second point, name anyone in the youth team that was not already injured. That steps in and does better than hamza because the closest we currently have is raikhy and he’s currently league 1 standard at best. There’s so many on here that can’t comprehend basic business decisions and whilst the club get a lot wrong, this isn’t one of those situations -

The problem we have with all the ‘top out’ calls, is that any potential buyers look for a club that has wriggle room to grow. A large part of why the saudi’s wanted newcastle was because of the ffp space they had due to ashley’s frugalness. If you purchased us, you wouldn’t be able to pull the club in a new direction because we are absolutely hamstrung at the moment. -

Just curious but on a free, do you think we would pick up a better player than hamza for less wages? (and a signing bonus) Hamza is a good squad filler for the championship and it’s been proven that we’ve needed him. I agree with you on the argument when we were a top 8 club but in our current boat, I get why we’d give him a new deal. You don’t let a 5-7m asset walk for free unless you can upgrade for less We could have sold him to southampton in the summer if we’d wanted to and his value won’t have dropped. -

absolutely and i’m surprised more people don’t understand that. A year in the prem just to earn some cash is sorely needed. It will be like the season we went up after administration, we filled the team with free agents who all had the option to leave if we we went down. It basically gives us another shot when we go back down. Not going up would just be a complete disaster -
I have no idea if he’s ours anymore but Mueanta just scored the equalizer against south korea

Would it not make more sense if clubs charged just received a transfer embargo? Surely that’s a punishment that fits a crime -

it was a nice ride while it lasted. We are certainly in the crest of a different type of wave from now folks -
imo the main reason for our drop off this month has been an over reliance on the wingers. Simply put, they’ve not really been at it and our whole game plan seems to go stale without their magic. I know it’s not going to happen but could we not play the same style but in this shape: Hermansen Ricardo. Faes/ coady. vesty. justin/doyle winks (holding) kdh fatawu. yunus/ nacho. mavi vardy/daka/cannon I just think having one more attacker/ creator in the middle would give something else for the opposition to think about. Ricardo could still invert and that would allow kdh to continue to roam into the oppositions box. Surely a style or philosophy doesn’t require an exact formation

I don’t think o’hare would come here if we didn’t go up. He’d either sign a new deal with cov or move to the prem. The only reason he’d come is money and we’ve not got that to spend Its a similar situation to Hamer in the summer when some of our fans seemed to think we’d land him.

nice one, you listed 10 things and none of them are what I said

in modern football they don’t really care about your money either. The amount the club generated from fans is minuscule compared to the transfer fees and tv money. It now obviously has an increased incentive based on the new rules but never in football has the solution to anything been… just stop going

International Break - Time To Reset
Lambert09 replied to FoxesTalker's topic in Leicester City Forum
The first 30 mins back is going to be huge! An early goal and I think we all get that belief back and the squad kicks on. The thought of conceding and the negativity all returning is grim. I don’t care how we get the result we just need to get something and get our momentum going again. It’s madness that it feels like we’ve been in this league for a minute but we are down to the run-in already. Expect twists and turns and just enjoy the drama of it all. I personally need to shake off the ‘we’re too good for this league nonsense’ as do most of our fans. It’s not healthy. We don’t appreciate a win as much as we should and I think Enzo was bang on with that earlier in the season. I want the truly special feeling of a goal back, rather than it just being a relief, it’s felt this way for too long. I can’t explain it but that cup goal hit different and felt like what’s been missing from the football for me recently. -

you know, as much as it goes against rivalry… I actually got excited earlier in the season at the thought that we could have derby’s against both forest and Cov in the prem next season. Shame collectively we’ve all b*llsed that up Also excites me that this was the only way ‘derby’ would appear in that sentence -

I don’t fully agree. On paper, rules are rulesZ But FFP as supposedly introduced to protect clubs from themselves. But then it’s punishing a club for getting as much money for its asset as possible. Forest were naive, foolish and brazen in the way they operated. But in that one argument I think they are correct. Clubs shouldn’t start needing to sell assets on the cheap just to hit deadlines that part is just adding to the cartel that is the premier league -

How does Cucurella play like this 😂 -
I got chastised for suggesting he has the touch of the demarai Gray’s about him earlier in the season .. but he really does. Flashes of brilliance but will never quite be consistent

Who do you want for next season in the PL

I originally thought he was getting over hyped by his name but the more I see of him, the more im impressed -
Can someone with a good knowledge of the rules explain to me why Leeds are allowed to make 5 subs and we only seem to be allowed to make 1 or 2 ?

millwall look awful
-
if that turns his form around then i’m perfectly happy to be out of the cup

disappointing because the momentum was in our favour and it felt like the stars were aligning. Unfortunately, the pace of vesty has cost us and i’d be worried he gets targeted like dan burn
