  1. Possibly but they sell nothing youngsters for 20m. I don’t think there’s any world in which we are in the race if he has a good season with us.
  2. Signed new deal before he left, no chance he’s available
  3. As I’ve said a few times, while we can’t rebuild, we need someone who will galvanize what we have…. Kingy can absolutely do that. I think we are seeing the evidence of that. Give the man the keys
  4. That was very well taken by patson
  5. I’ve heard from a very good source he’s got a very rare contract where he only gets paid if he doesn’t play Rudkin thought he was being a visionary
  6. King wasn’t joking when he said he didn’t want the job I guess
  7. Tbf he actually did well at man united until they forced Ronaldo into the mix
  8. I think the way football has changed means someone like king has a place in management. It’s less abusive and more about man management, kingy is a very likeable guy. The players will want to do well for him, that I’m sure of. Tactically it’s obviously completely unknown, but he seems a smart guy and I’d trust him to at least have a solid system even if more simplistic. one things for sure, if he has any chance of getting the job we need to see a good showing tonight. If it’s more of the same dross we’ve seen all season then we obviously need to accept a more drastic appointment will be needed. We are in a hard spot because the type of manager we need, would be a rebuilder… but the window is closed. So in the short term we need someone who is just going to get the best out of what we have. Someone coming in and sending vesty and winks and any other big bollock around the place to the reserves isn’t helpful… because we need someone who can get short term buy in and will utilize what we have, even if they are all toxic morons. That’s why I think someone like king does work, because we need all hands on deck at this point. I love giving youth a chance but when we get closer to the crunch, it’s not a good environment for them (other than certain rare personalities) so some of the established pros will be needed even if we hate them
  9. I don’t think there would be a big difference to our results between king and many of the names I’ve seen touted. It’s hard to judge him based on what we’ve seen so far because of the brain rot at the club. But I do think he can motivate this group and would do everything to drag us to safety.
  10. The simple answer was a wage restructuring at the club to make us more competitive and to increase our chances of holding assets we wanted to keep. the first time we failed psr I do think we were a little hard done by. Because when these changes to the rules were implemented it was near impossible to undo the new wage structure which was always going to deliver a horrific wage to turnover ratio. But where we truly went wrong, was not fully undoing it. We could easily have turned around to hamza or Luke Thomas and said 20k or go somewhere else. But we didn’t, we seem to have slightly reduced but still pay everyone drastically over the odds. Agents know all about this and a player won’t come to Leicester if they aren’t matching people already on the books which makes it hard to undo. But we needed to be more ruthless. we had an opportunity to be when we went down, that should have been the last of it. But instead we were bringing in players like winks on 80/90k which is brain dead. But when you don’t have a capbable scout network, you don’t see an option to find someone more unknown who would take a reasonable wage.., our limitations mean that we have to go for over paid names
  11. I grew up in the era where all glory supporters were man utd fans, this was the first time I remembered beating them in my lifetime. Special game that
  12. I’d rather we let King have it to the end of the season than hire the wrong person. If the right manager to take us forward isn’t available, I don’t want to be bringing in another pointless candidate from our limited pool.
  13. It sounds like he’s not been contacted nor does he expect to be. Nothing about that sounded like he was talking about a possible job opportunity
  14. The ship would have sailed on that. I think you get him now or not at all.
  15. He’s our greatest ever player, of course the interest will always be high. we had threads go hot because Demarai gray would have a good game once
  16. Just to complete our banter cycle, it would be funny if aluku gets his second start and second red card against the same side
  17. What a difference it makes to have a defender who actually wants to win a header, rather than just dealing with a ball in the air. We honestly haven’t had a cb that attacked a ball since maguire. It doesn’t just need to be within a foot of you to go for it lads
  18. It’s protest at the training ground territory it really is! How do the ownership see how bad the relationship with the fans is and decide to pick the least popular manager appointment possible. I don’t think I have it in me to watch ten minutes of Martin ball.
  19. Some on here said we would
  20. He hasn’t been tainted by coaching from cooper, Ruud and Marti
  21. He’s a mardy ass but he does seem to actually try on the pitch
