Because sprinting is less of an issue as a cm. He still has the quality on the ball and the brain to be useful there. He was good as a rb because of his pace and overlapping runs, things he can’t utilize any more

Okay, I have probably switched my opinion on this now. I genuinely think it should just be given to King until the end of the season. Nobody is coming in for 6 months of fire fighting. there’s no window to create the club in your identity. We will end up with the wrong person in charge and they likely will be for next season and we will waste another summer. Give it to king, trust him to get us safe… I think he would. Then let us actually have a reset next summer. But this is only going to work if we move quickly instead of what we did this summer.

The problem with monga is his flashy feet just lead everyone to say wow, he’s incredible. But the work on passing, crossing, shooting, defensive work and positioning is still at the level of a 16 year old. I’m not knocking the lad, he should have a bright future but that’s why he’s not ready. But at the same time mavididi has made a career without having much ability other than running with the ball… let’s hope monga is destined for bigger things than stephy

Nothing wrong with a regular 532 but that requires wb’s that are basically wingers (manning/ Giles types) 2 actual box to box progressive cms ( we only have James who could do this) And that’s ignoring the fact we don’t have a striker who’s going bury chances. we’d be a hot mess in that formation and it would simple be a park the bus job if we tried it. IMO anyway haha
