Tbf, if the angle on Coleman is to help Kingy, bring him in as his number 2. I wouldn’t hate giving king a crack at it. And if he had that kind of support then it could work. But there’s no way he should be considered for the managers job.

Maybe not results wise but he did some serious David Brent stuff. he got caught out having a twitter fan account that would post constantly about his tactics and how amazing they were and just generally pumping pr. But eventually got caught out and it was so tragic made hfaes look sane.

Gerrard did well at rangers because he had a very good assistant with him. People will buy into gerrard as a motivator because he has always demanded perfection and he carries weight in the game that will always be respected. But his actual coaching and tactics are abysmal. When he went to villa his assistant didn’t go with him and just like Ruud he was like a fish out of water. I think these type of appointments will always fail eventually because the respect you can get from your status runs dry over time with the same players. funnily enough his assistant (Beale) was a terrible manager as well, they were both just a good partnership and should have stayed that way

I don’t aspire for a great manager anymore. I just want someone with a half decent football brain. That’s all I want. Logical decisions. Trying new things when things aren’t working. Getting our divas in line and bringing in a better mentality and house rules. I’m just so sick of the amateurs we’ve had at the club for too long. Rowett would be a breath of fresh air around this place.

For those that know the rules, is there a chance we haven’t give Evan’s game time because he wouldn’t have been allowed to also go on loan? As he would already have played for the 21s in the cup that counts?

History will remember him as one of the worst we’ve ever had. he’s as bad as Craig levain. Holloway. Rvn, cooper. He was equally as pointless as Sousa. Total failure. To have the players available that we have and only muster up being the better team in one game is genuinely awful. Even in games where other teams were pony, he still managed to fluff up the tactics

Genuinely think there’s only 2 names on the entire list that might do a decent job. Everyone else would struggle and the 2 that I think would do alright, may well also struggle. we’re in big trouble

But what have the board shown you that would make you believe that we wouldn’t end up in a place like west ham or wolves anyway? Eventually it would have collapsed is my point. We were always going to get a couple of big calls wrong with the people we have in charge.

I’m curious, does anyone else wonder if PSR unintentionally saved us from an even bigger crisis? without its introduction, we likely continued with unsustainable spending and the level at which we were hitting was always going to end in tears with one failure on the pitch. We are so poorly run that I can’t help but think that we would have screwed up eventually and gone down anyway. And given that the KP money dried up, imagine if we’d had 3 more years with that wage to turnover ratio. We’d be looking at 250m deficit or something similar. We were far from sustainable without a big investor and we clearly don’t have that. as awful as psr is, at least we were forced to take some form of corrective action before it was too late (if it isn’t already)

Genuinely though, would love his take on what he thinks the actual objective of PSR is? Because it quite clearly is meant to hamstring smaller clubs to benefit the big boys. But curious if he has any defence of the system as a whole or if as an expert he equally thinks it’s daft for the game
