Our owner just like our fans, we’re too big snobs to contemplate that. Just like the ones that didn’t want dyche. We always needed a no nonsense manager to come and sort us out but the club don’t want to be challenged and the fans don’t know what’s good for them.

I thought that was a hint we were going the same way as Sheffield Wednesday but don’t worry because they looked good today (while getting pumped by Preston)

Darn, I really thought we’d go unbeaten in 2026 -
Show me the corner flag!!!

Cannon is sh*te and yet I’d absolutely love to have him still

Be real, silko has done just as much as any of the other strikers. Deserves a chance

Tranmere fans delighted with this

In the kindest possible sense, braybrooke is a much stronger option than page at this point in their development, albeit different types of player. If page is getting minutes then braybrooke absolutely can and would

If we did sell fatawu and have a bit of money to spend, I’d love us to go for Yirenkyi from Nordsjaelland 19 year old graduate from the right to dream academy (known for the best African talent) and a proper midfield enforcer. Shove him next to JJ and we boss teams off the park https://www.transfermarkt.us/caleb-yirenkyi/profil/spieler/1240763

It’s a terrible signing and our scouts got it wrong but…….. the why is obvious. We were desperate for a striker. I’m not against taking a punt on a diamond in the rough, especially not on a risk free loan like this. It didn’t work out but I will always prefer a gamble on someone being a gem rather than signing someone like Antonio. Because that’s how you grow the club Didn’t work out this time but it was the right type of move imo. -
The ugly truth is because we pay more money every time he’s out the squad. A fairly standard practice with a loan.

It’s all very weird particularly the drastic differences in halves. I don’t think we are always slow and ponderous in the build up (but we are for the majority of the time) The first halves against Portsmouth, Wrexham, derby (a), Ipswich all of them we were moving the ball around well and there was very little to fault. Which begs the question why that stops happening. Is it fitness, are certain players simply not capable of doing it. Is the manager tweaking and asking them to slow it down? Or is it less about the pace we’re moving the ball and more to do with the fact we are dropping further back? I think even the most astute tactician would struggle to explain what’s been happening with us. But it all feels amateurish, like maybe there isn’t a set plan or structure.

Julián Carranza will be Necaxa's reinforcement Coming from Leicester, the Argentine Julián Carranza, will be a footballer of the Rayos de Necaxa for the Clausura 2026. Buenos Aires, Argentina.- Coming from Leicester, Julián Carranza will be the new footballer of Necaxa. Super Deportivo was able to learn that the Rayos will have the Argentine player, who was offered a four-year contract, until December 2029. Feyenoord was the owner of the player's letter, who terminated six months that he had left with the England team, which he had reached on loan. Julián Carranza, 25, has also played for Philadelphia Union and Inter Miami in MLS, and in his country's Banfield. In the current campaign, the Argentine has only played 315 minutes in nine games with Leicester.

I’m confused but could carranza be signing for someone else in Jan? can anyone translate this?

To be honest our wingers haven’t performed as expected at all. Fatawu has by and large been poor but he has scored some amazing goals which perhaps have painted over the cracks. maybe they are suffering because of our game plan but there is a tiny question of, is the game plan failing because they aren’t performing? What would this team look like if they were beating their men and completing the final balls more often than we are seeing? I don’t think Marti is a good manager and if it is the wingers that are letting down what he wants the team to do, he’s certainly made no effort to adapt and correct that. I didn’t watch enough of QPR to have any real understanding of what a functioning version of his side would look like. All I know is that his strikers never score goals and that can’t purely be down to having dross strikers all the time. QPR had Charlie Kelman last year and Marti didn’t want him, so he went out and was top scorer in league 1. That must have been hard for QPR fans to take while their top scorer had about 5 goals

Fair enough. Didn’t spew that and just assumed transfer talk belonged in the transfer section. My bad

I do wonder if promotion 2 season ago actually improved our overall financial situation or it worsened further. Ignoring the income from players who we bought the season before, Bilal we pretty much brake even on (criminal) and obviously won’t recover any money from anyone else who came in. I think we just wasted every penny that came our way with no assets to show for it. Honestly, couldn’t have managed our situation any worse
-
Fatawu without the pressure of being the only outlet and also needed to help defend would absolutely explode. I think he’d be superb for Bournemouth
-
Wonder what this could be? Sounds promising though? Maybe activating the clause early?
-
Got an assist as well… also, worth noting that’s a better corner than we’ve seen from any of our players all season. the lad can take free kicks and pens as well. He reminds me of a young jimmy bullard haha

Name a player in our back line that won’t

Sheff Utd (away) - New Years Day - 17:30

I think because our team mentally think they are better than they are, we have been crumbling every time a side is actually just as good as us. We need to learn to play smarter in games like this and accept that snatching a 1-0 would be a good result. that’s the big difference I notice to our other crap teams. At least they mostly knew they were crap so when a better team played us they adapted to try and scrape a result. -
Even when he’s awful I like that he doesn’t give up. One of the few that always wants the ball. He needs a couple of good goals to get going again but at least he’s trying. Sooner or later we have to get a game where both mav and fatawu are at their best. We haven’t had it all season

Blast from the past from someone who we maybe should have tried harder to keep around
