Realistic Managerial Replacements
Lambert09 replied to winteriscoming's topic in Leicester City Forum
I do actually think that now that we’ve had new success, there’s less damage that could be done if this goes wrong. It was always unthinkable largely because we didn’t want to taint what was our most successful period, but thats been surpassed now. I think it would be a refreshing change at the club and he would certainly sort out the culture. after years of this tippy tappy rubbish, I’d welcome a different approach. read some of the Celtic fan comments, it was like he never left. This could be a really good move for galvanizing the fans and getting a feel good factor back. People will mock the idea but the other options available will be honking -

The rule is that it’s only retaken if it goes in. If you miss, that’s too bad -
He’s back in the starting line up today

We don’t know any of the players personally mate, but you pick up on things from interviews, body language and what we see of the attitude. There’s always a bit of arrongance from top players but they tend to have earnt that. Usually when you’ve been crap for a few years you can spot it, you almost feel bad for them. It’s just general human analysis. I don’t think you need to have someone directly come and say I’m too good for this club to work that out. a great example would be stephy. He’s clearly got an arrogance to him and when he’s doing well, boy is he going to let the world know….. but when things weren’t going well for him, he dropped that act very quickly And you could see it was bothering him that he wasn’t performing. That’s what you expect to see. Not someone who looks completely unfazed after they are responsible for another car crash. maybe it’s all an exterior shell to protect him mentally…. But if that’s the case, he could do with dropping a bit of that and showing a little vulnerability and being a bit accountable. I see plenty of our players come out and say “we weren’t good enough, we need to do better” have you ever seen that from him? I’m not saying it doesn’t exist but I’ve not personally seen any kind of redeeming qualities from him. The guy just seems a tw@

I think it’s because it’s abundantly clear he is arrogant and seems to think he’s the bollocks. I want my players to be pushing towards high standards and striving to improve. But faes has always come across that he thinks he’s our best defender, when in reality he’s the reason for 75% of the goals when he’s on the pitch. Him cupping his ears just summed it all up nicely for me, he’s dog much for 3 years, scores a goal against a team in shambles (which isn’t even his main job) and then has the audacity to give it the biggen, wondering why we’d be questioning his inclusion to begin with. id bet almost anything that he takes absolutely no accountability for where we are and the results we get.

The reviews remind me of what you’d read about kdh… another good loan and he’ll be in our first team. So glad we renewed his contract

I’ve got June 19th. Can’t go wrong with a Friday game, it should be a cracking night whatever game we get
-
He’s not even the worst signing at the club right now probably not even in the bottom 3. Daka, skipp easily ahead of him and carranza looks like the worst player we’ve had since Ryan mcgiven.

It’s mad to think that Vardy is cremoneses Esteban. The feelings we got picking up someone of that stature and then them actually being good at the club just hits different. Esteban made us feel big time and Vardy does the same for them.
-
Say what you want about the club but his send off was far from pathetic. Probably the only thing theyve got right in the last few years
-
Now these are the type of stats I can get behind
-
No idea what it says but … 😆
-
Vardy really papered over the cracks here for nearly a decade didn’t he 😆
-
Another goal for vards

Didn’t we just lose to them a couple of games ago? -
I can’t help but think the sliding doors moment for Marti was getting winks back in the side. I was certainly one who supported it. But if you’re a player who was motivated to play for this club and you saw how faes and him acted…. You’d find it very hard to take that manager seriously again after he let them waltz back in at the first opportunity.

We make far too many excuses for the fact we are poorly run. It’s nothing to do with seagrave, it never has been. It’s the culture that is allowed by an incompetent DOF and a placid owner. There’s zero accountability. No authority figures and the fact the chairman acts like a fan boy and not a boss. Ruud to his credit tried to come in and correct some of these issues and unfortunately for him he didn’t back up that side of things with success on the pitch. But he was onto something with a lot of this crock.

they take us down imo. we need a full transformation not a slight tweek to the bs
-
Get him out let Kingy take charge and patiently select the right bloody candidate
-
Served us right for not sacking him before this game
-
After having such a horrid backline for so long, having a new manager come in and play souttar and Nelson, is going to hit like crack

Respectfully mate, it’s because we love the club and hate that we are in this state. Nobody just wants to ignore everything and go on with their lives. Most of us genuinely are LTID but doesn’t mean we want to put up with the club being run like this. might seem annoying for people but I fully get that people want to vent about it. I hate this club at the moment, I don’t support the majority of what we’re doing, don’t think I’ll watch on Saturday as right now it’s not worth getting up early for but I’m still going to engage with what’s going on. I’ll still be annoyed if we lose, and I’ll still cling to a hope that we pull off a result. People need to vent about it to cope, because i don’t think we’re ready to just let the club die in our hearts -
It’s not just football, there’s a whole generation who can’t sit through anything without touching their phones. When was the last time you went to the cinema and didn’t have people around you scrolling on social media. It’s really sad that we can’t just stay in the moment for 90 mins
