  1. Kristiansen is back in the mix then also just noticed begovic is the sub keeper
  2. I think as poor as he’s been a managers take is different to a fans. In the last couple of games he’s done something pretty incredible twice that probably nobody else on the field can do (maybe fats) but fluffed the finishes. I think he will still be very happy he created them and knows the goals will come. Needs a few belted choruses of his song and he will get back in his groove
  3. I think you’re both right at the same time tbh. It comes down to how the manager views someone. For Marti he saw a bomb scare pre-season game, then he got injured came back and had a bomb scare game against a lower league club. When you have the strength in depth we have, it’s very hard for him to throw out another opportunity until we have a bad run, or we’re cruising in a few games. hes 4th choice now and come December he may even end up 5th choice depending on souttars recovery. The youth project has been okoli rather than Nelson and even though we all know Nelson is good enough, it’s his job to show the manager that
  4. There’s serious ripple effects for lots of the squad because we couldn’t win that cup game. If we’d just got 3 games out of it our fringe players would have had a serious chance to challenge
  5. It was Rodger’s not seagrave. He did the same to Celtic as well. He’s anti science and as soon as he started getting rid of the old medical team everything went to crap.
  6. At least it’s not the knee again. If he’s back by December there’s still plenty of footy to be played
  7. Ben doak would be a good shout for any club chasing promotion. No way he starts for Bournemouth now so the loan should be available
  8. No way we’re interested tbh. Could see us going for him next season though…. If we find a way up
  9. They won’t give them a goal because they are convinced the game should never have started.
  10. In fairness, none of the teams that get promoted via playoffs are equipped for the premier league. Drastic changes are almost always required with very few exceptions. Forest for example replaced a whole squad. The only one who actually was worthy of the spot would have been Brentford, who actually should have gone up automatically but hit a rough patch. The difference from 8th to 3rd is very minimal in this league typically. Probably good for us if we get stuck down here
  11. Yeah got to feel a bit for him because thats a great bit of play and the chance doesn’t come without him. But that doesn’t change the hit on the confidence for missing it. Annoying we don’t have any easy cup games to pick up a morale boosting big win. But I think he’d massively benefit from coming off the bench for a while. Especially if we get a comfortable lead in a game
  12. We’re going to fall in love with a loan player because we think it’s fine… but then we will miss promotion and the club won’t have the cash to sign him
  13. His assist against Birmingham and goal at Preston aren’t those moments? I get the point you’re making but the lad is making about as much impact as possible. He’s still learning the game but I don’t think he’s nervous when playing. the lads first thought is, who should I embarrass first
  14. Got a feeling braybrooke will be like kdh, one that just needs a little more time before they break through. Patience needed!
  15. Very odd isn’t it. Just not programmed to even have that as part of his game
  16. You can see his team mates rate him. There was a moment when he was marked by 3 guys and they gave him the ball anyway and he glided past them all. Dont think many people have that about them at this level but simply he doesn’t do enough with the ball. What’s more frustrating is he probably shoots better than the other mids, he can probably play the best through ball he just simply is wired to always do the safest option available. Would love for him to go rogue, breeze past a few players and just shank one into row z… simply to see the guy take a risk for once
  17. Well if we’re being fair, I know for a fact none of us would accept a loss if there’s 10 minutes left and the game was stopped. let’s imagine for a second we were still chasing the Oxford game and they stopped it with 10 to go (and we were still down) there’s no way we’d say that’s fair
  18. Looks good to me. Not an easy first game to start
  19. Pretty sure anyone who’s watched us this season would say the same
  20. Personally think he’s the victim of changing positions to temporary plug a gap and sticking with it. He was always more central and then popped up for us in the wing and imo it’s knocked his development back. He’s just not got the traits to be a winger imo
  21. https://www.theguardian.com/football/2002/aug/03/newsstory.sport1 scumbag
  22. Got to admit, I always had a bit of a feeling that with this top talent that if they got big club interest they would move and that offering them minutes wasn’t going to help…. But monga and now Page are showing us that these lads just want opportunities and if we provide them they will stay. Fair play to the club for getting these moves right at an integral time for the club. These boys might be the ones to keep us afloat
  23. No problem with this. Good to have local lads around the place. He’s the type to never complain and you need that in a back up full back. Up to him if he wants to step up and lock down the left back spot but assuming the wages have been reasonable, then why not. We might have a few years in the championship and he’s more than capable at this level
  24. Don’t want to stir but apparently winks punched him while he was sleeping after he made a bad joke during a card game.
  25. Oh really? Poor them.
