We are on a transfer embargo? The lack of incomings is slightly expected but the thing that’s a little more concerning is the lack of outgoings, given that we want them gone and they want to be gone. I know we are terribly slow but I really am wondering if there’s a possibility we have been put on an embargo but it’s not been announced, as they are waiting to release all punishments in one go I understand it’s wildly speculative and still unlikely this wouldn’t be leaked but could it explain why maybe the club is holding onto players as we can’t replace them? the only transfer noise is around wilf at this point and he has a release clause, it all makes me suspicious. It also would tie in with the slow manager hunt, if they’ve been told about this charge and more incoming it would naturally slow everything down. maybe Russel Martin’s friend who said we can’t spend any money might have been right and it’s not because of cash flow ..

The only concerning thing I have, is how easy they were to beat in the fa cup. Didn’t expect it when they went up but I have a sneaky feeling sunderland will do the best of the promoted clubs. I also think brentford could be in big trouble. Norgaard, mbuemo and frank is a huge loss. They have to have gotten the Andrew’s appointment 100% correct but that’s a big gamble on a transition season.

If that was the case, we would have seen a fire sale already. The fact none of our players have gone, goes against this. if we actually had a cash flow issue, we’d have seen someone like bilal go for 10 m or something daft. They won’t care about psr if actual financial issues hit The only other reason, could be that we thought we’d get him for 1m but the owner has gin back to demand for 4m and we don’t see the value in it. But I think everyone knows he’s leaving so we just have to wait it out until they crumble… which might be exactly what is happening. The media release was requested by the club… that’s unusual considering the release was mostly maybe it’s this person or that. Seems like gamesmanship considering how close we keep the cards to our chest ordinarily:

None of this makes any sense right now. I understand the club are incompetent. but to not have someone in place at this juncture when the only options are free agents just doesn’t compute. There simply has to be more to it than meets the eye. We wasted half our time last year waiting for potter, has the same really happened with Rohl? If we were willing to wait this long and sacrifice all the prep time, then surely we’d just pay 1m or whatever it is. in the grand scheme of things that will be less than any transfer outlays, even free transfers will have sign on fees at that level. I am going to go against my best judgement and assume that the club is going to get Rohl and that all of this noise is a game to get the Sheffield owner to reduce his demands
