  1. They aren't going to come out and say we've £50m to spend and be rinsed by clubs over valuing their players. Having said that we know Rudders is easily hoodwinked (Skipp).
  2. Rather stick with what we have. He's minging.
  3. Yes I agree, but it would also free up a space if he wasn't registered, so that would allow us to strengthen the squad. Let's be honest, Edouard offers nothing.
  4. Yes, that's what I'm suggesting. As he's never in the match day squad, then still paying him whether registered on not makes no difference. I appreciate he wouldn't be able to be called upon is Vardy or Daka were injured, but from what I've seen of him, I'd rather use Ayew as a centre forward ahead of him, if required.
  5. Do you have to re-register the squad in January as most clubs have new signings? If so, whilst it would be a waste of money, could they tell him he's not going to be registered and suggest he asks Palace to find him another club. Worst case scenario we pay for someone who can't play, but as he's never in the matchday squad, what's the difference?
  6. Just supposing we could buy prime Messi, whilst the best player in the world, we'd still ship loads of goals and probably only score a few more. You got to solve the problem and KDH won't do that. We aren't controlling games, and whilst I'd love KDH back at the club and he may be one of the better players if he returned, he really isn't what is required as a priority with the limited funds we have.
  7. I think you're correct. We have two emerging centre backs at the club in Nelson and Okoli, I don't think a third is good business and not the priority at this point of the season. If the club feel the need to sign another centre half, I hope it someone a little more established. Someone who is around the age of Faes, but not a bomb scare.
  8. of oil or two
  9. The unfortunate, sad death of The Boss has led to mismanagement on and off the field. Whilst, I think King Power have the best intentions, goodwill only takes a club so far. Vichai appeared to be able to mix corporate business and sporting business successful, unfortunate Top doesn't appear to have the same acumen as his father.
  10. Marcin Wesolowski - I'd feel safe all night
  11. We can't recall Harry Soutter as he has played too many games for Sheff U and has therefore activated the clause that keeps him there for the season.
  12. What 4 - 0 instead of 10 - 0?
  13. Anybody who thinks Maguire or Chilwell, players from big clubs and big wages, who still have ambitions of playing for England, are likely to be interested in playing for a team in a relegation scrap where their defensive limitations will be exposed further, and who probably can't afford their wages either, are IMO dreaming. Both Maguire and Chilwell will secure moves to far more lucrative and secure destinations should they move away from their parent club.
  14. Personally feel he'll have much better offers than returning to a struggling relegation threatened side where he could be exposed defensively.
  15. Which he probably does. From Chelsea and England to relegation strugglers is not a move he's likely to want to resurrect his career or one we could afford to accommodate.
  16. Is Bounanotte playing twice?
  17. Mings - don't feel he's any better than what we have, maybe worse. Chilwell won't lower himself to our levels and we can't afford his wages KDH - would have to be a loan, not sure he's our main need Evan Ferguson - can't afford him and can't loan him unless we send one of our best players back from his loan Jobe Bellingham - a possibility, but is he any better than what we currently have? Just my thoughts, may be I'm way off the mark.
  18. Can't loan 2 players from the same club
  19. I feel confident if he's backed in January (and the earlier the better) he'll sort this defensive problem out. He's already acknowledged there is an issue defensively, but with limited resources at his disposal and a non existent midfield at present, this is not a quick fix.
  20. Gallagher for me - I know he wasn't in the Prem, but just felt he was going to score, not only every pen, bur every free kick.
  21. This is true, but we never won by 2 clear goals either. Cooper was so far out of his depth, I feel we would have lost those 2 home games. I can't recall, either, Cooper not having a full midfield complement to call on, unlike today and having to play Ward. Hermanson and bad finishing is the only reason some teams haven't scored a hatful against us. I'm under no illusions that RVN will keep us up easily, but he's got more about him than Cooper and with the right backing in January, at least he'll have a fighting chance.
  22. You can go even lower with a poor manager and that's exactly what Cooper was and is.
  23. Remember when we went to Chelsea with a midfield of GTF and Dean Hammond (I think). They did ok, even though we lost.
  24. His big problem now is to maintain this level of consistency. He needs to continue putting 8/10 performances regularly. However, it works both ways, if his performance drops off one week, then no doubt he'll get the old abuse, which is the last thing he needs. No player plays really well week in week out, but if the majority of his performances are like yesterday, I'll be extremely pleased and it will feel like we've made a new signing.
  25. Yes, me too, but think his lack of defensive discipline may be a concern.
