  1. I'll reserve judgement until Friday 11pm. But as it stands, yes he's absolutely correct.
  2. Yes my fault, I should have added new rumours and no new solid links
  3. Or get injured!
  4. So we should only loan him out this year as it's likely that's where we'll be next season.
  5. Think there will be plenty of rumours, but just no solid links.
  6. But great fun - some of the loan players were great to watch, Van Arnholt, Bruma, Davis, Naughton, Fernandes, Yakubu, Kamara to name a few, even if they didn't click as a team.
  7. As they are not Belgian, it would be difficult. Coady has played for England! All I'm saying is that if Faes is our best defender, then we are in the sh1t
  8. If this is true, then God help us
  9. Unfortunately, I think it's more likely to be Fofana - hope I'm wrong
  10. No neither can I - it's not as though there will be a queue of suitors. Probably best we can hope for would be a loan to a French side or like others have said, crazy money in Saudi attracts him
  11. Faes is a poor man's David Luis - if he played for Man City he'd look decent with the amount of possession they have, but would still cost them goals due to his over confidence, lack of concentration and the occasional brain fart.
  12. It'll be nearly all loans - Big Jon can't manage 4 transfer out and 4 in during these last 4 days
  13. The problem is will there be any interest for the price we want to sell for or will this be another loan with option to buy that never materialises because the potential buying club realises he's bang average.
  14. RIP Sven - loved some of the players he attracted here on loan during his relatively brief tenure. Always seemed a nice bloke (even got a personally signed birthday card from him too)
  15. Hope so, as the transfer window closes Friday
  16. Just like a certain Wesley Forfana who forced his move from St. Ettienne - will he do the same as Wes when Chelsea come calling in a year or so? I suppose we'd make a £50m profit in a year or 2.
  17. Yes but by then Spurs should have been 4 - 1 up. I know the game's about ifs and buts, but let's no kid ourselves that unless there's a vast improvement it's going to be a long, turgid season. No tactical awareness, no cohesion in our play and wide open at the back. Just a poor level we are at to say we came up as Champions. I'm not sure new signings will make any difference, because for me it's how they are being coached that is the problem. Confidence won't last that long with performances like we've seen so far.
  18. Dyche will be available soon - only joking
  19. Yes, I'm fully aware of our points tally, but it's not through anything we've done particularly well, apart from a 15 minute spell v Spurs, more the lack of quality in the finishing of our opponents. Keep playing like this and a tonking is not far away as our luck won't hold - even Villa on Saturday could be embarrassing.
  20. On another day had Spurs and Fulham taken more of their chances, both games could have ended up 'tonkings'
  21. He's had all pre season. There was literally no improvement from our first game to last, in fact I'd almost say we regressed. I'm not expecting things to be perfect, but for a group of players that look disjointed, I'd suggest he's not getting his message across very well. I admire the hard work ethic, but it would be nice to see some cohesive play and attacking intent.
  22. I'm not sure anyone knows what the system is supposed to be. It looks like they've never played together most of the time.
  23. Just sign Hamer for £8m and throw in Cannon as part of the deal?
  24. Yes, but of more concern is that we are creating very little to have a chance of scoring.
  25. I'm a little concerned that it's not the potential incoming personnel that can make the difference, more can Cooper coach players adequately to perform at this level. We had the same situation two seasons ago with quality players, but a manager who couldn't turn things around (maybe by choice). Whilst it's only 2 games, I'm shocked at our lack of ideas and cohesion. I honestly think playing like this we'd struggle to make the play offs in the Championship.
