Unless there was an ongoing issue with punctuality to training, I can't see the argument for him staying over for one night a week. However, if there was a specific reason why he should stay at Seagrave one night a week, and other players were made to do the same, then yes, he's out of order. I would add, I don't know the specific reasons for RVN wanting him to stay over, but unless it's justified, it seems a strange decision to enforce.

No, but it's about getting us promoted and if we do go with Martin, then those I mentioned have proven to have been successful at Championship level playing that style of football. I also added Skipp and BEK as they could also be top players in the Championship (more so BEK).

Absolutely. What I didn't agree with was the original poster suggesting Vachai had done nothing and our success was all down to Pearson. Pearson was a part of that success, but, for me, Vichai had the understanding that he'd made a mistake sacking Pearson and was wise enough to employ him again. But to suggest all our success was down to Pearson is stretching it. It's a hypothetical question, but I wonder if Pearson would have been here for the 2015/16 season whether we would have still won the league? Perhaps we should be grateful to his son and partners in crime for the antics they got up to in Thailand which ultimately cost Nigel his job.

Honestly? Do you think we'd have won the league without Vichai taking over the club? Pearson was good, but let's remember, it was Cambiasso running the show that kept us up. Pearson didn't even play Albrighton initially, how bad a decision was that. I love Pearson and think he fits our club well, but he hasn't done that brilliant at other clubs without Shakespeare and Walsh along side of him.

They got so much right because of Vichai. Yes he made mistakes, but corrected those and learnt from them. To me Top is a ditherer and doesn't seem to learn from past errors. It took him too long to bin off Rodgers and here we are again with Rudkin. He should have gone a long time ago.

I can't think of a game this year that we have deserved to win, even our wins were fortunate. We were fortunate at Southampton that they had a player sent off, we somehow, more by luck than skill, stopped Bournemouth from scoring, West Ham dominated the game and had so many chances and Spurs did everything but equalise against us. Even our draws have been somewhat fortuitous. Both Brighton games we probably should have lost, Spurs at home they should have been out of sight by half time, a late goal against 10 man Ipswich was hardly convincing. Only Palace away could you say we were rather unlucky.

He'd do ok in the Championship as his philosophy is the same as Enzo's and as most of the squad from last year's Championship team are still likely to be around, I can see a return to the Enzo style being successful. He came across better than I expected in the Lineker podcast and I think he may well have learnt and gained a better understanding of managing from his experience this year. I'm undecided if it would work out long term.

That's disappointing. But wouldn't it depend on the wording of his contract. If it states, that once relegation is confirmed, compensation will only be paid until the 30th June 2025. Any additional years of his contract would be waived.

I think we'd have to wait another week if there is a relegation clause in his contract regarding dismissal, otherwise he'd technically get compensation as until it is impossible mathematically not to be able to catch Wolves then we aren't relegated officially.
