Let's be fair, Big Jon is exhausted and having the day off having managed to complete one deal this week.
-
Not til 2026 I believe
-
I sometimes wonder if this is the message the club wants to put out that we aren't in the market for any more players, so not to alert other clubs of potential targets (I know this strategy hasn't worked too well this transfer window with the Soule and Hlozec deals being hijacked)
-
Looks like Big Jon is still struggling to shift deadwood - Soumare, Ward, Iverson, Thomas all still here with no real sign of any movement. Perhaps this is the reason we are holding back on deals.
-
Hope I'm wrong, but be prepared for an uninspiring and boring transfer deadline day (as most are for LCFC fans). There will be hopes raised as the day progresses only for it to be announced at 9.30pm, Leicester don't expect to do any further business today, after Tom Cannon's departure to . . . . .

Marc Albrighton Retires From Football

Wonder if he's hoping for a draw on Saturday? Lovely bloke, great attitude and complete professional. Hope the future gives him new memories that are as rewarding as the one's he's had here. -
Marton Fulop, I believe or perhaps Zolt Latzco(spelt wrong) and Gabor Bori
-
Yes agree, I can't recall the last time we had a productive and exciting deadline day.
-
Yep, I agree - it was just a flippant, tongue in cheek remark, as we never seem just to do a purchase quickly.
-
You've got greater confidence than me that Rudkin can conclude a deal in around 25 hours.
-
No we didn't - it was €8m initially with add ons taking to €13m eventually, if criteria is met. Chiesa's wages will probably be in the region of £200,000 a week. Okoli will probably be on about a tenth of that.
-
Hope so, but I would assume their are going to be a lot of applications going in for international clearance in the next 2 days, presuming he signs today.
-
How many signings will we make before the end of the transfer window?

I think we've made enough signings, just not that many who are the right ones. -

Are you sure - men have signed Fatawu, Golding, Ayew, Okoli, Skipp, BDCR, Buenonotte (granted loan) - I make that 7, compared 6 by the ladies. Add to this the imminent signing of Bilal EL Khannous, that's 8. -
Even is he signs today, I'll doubt he'll be available for the weekend due to international clearance - could be touch and go. Perhaps there is no intention for his debut at the weekend and to give him the international break to settle in?
-
Next couple of days - I bloody hopes it's next couple of hours. Window closes in a couple of days and I'm hoping for at least one more signing and perhaps a loan too.
-
Think you're splitting hairs here - Perhaps I should have said 23 or under, hardly geriatrics. Whether you agree or not 75% of the signings this Summer are 23 or under (if you included BEK) - fact.
-
Ayew and BDCR - is hardly stockpiling. He's also added Fatawu, Skipp, Golding, Okoli, and the lad from Brighton on loan all under 23. Added to this the likely signing of Bilal El Khannous at 20, I'd suggest the policy is more weighted towards youth?

Loved the way Coady appeared to have an encouraging word with him, rather than bollocking him, after his lapse of concentration. Liked the way he attacked the ball coming in from crosses, but like others have said, Tranmere are hardly a test of what he's going to face in the Premier League.
-
As far as I'm aware the Kaminski in question is not the goalkeeper, but the left back/winger from Wolfsburg.
-
Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
MGLCFC replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Think he will be useful in some games when we are struggling to hold onto the ball. -
Yes, I agree, but the gambles weren't €20m+ though. I hope he lives up to expectation as I feel £20m we've paid for Skipp is steep.
-
Not exactly carving the chances out though are we? Last 3 games in pre season we couldn't muster a goal. One of our main goal threats doesn't even start. Apart from 15 to 20 minutes against Spurs we look bereft of ideas.
-
Doesn't matter which striker we may buy at present, because the system we are playing means we don't create any chances for a striker to be effective. All I see is a disjointed team at the moment who don't seem to understand what Cooper is trying to achieve with his tactics.

€8m initially I believe
