Not specific to my sons team, just an observation that there are many teams stock piling players. I get that you may have 11 players for 7 a side as 2 maybe unavailable but over that for 7 a side is too many in my opinion.

My kid plays junior football and many others do around Leicestershire and they love it. We all appreciate all the volunteers at the clubs, from coaches to secretaries etc.. in providing a platform for kids to play. Now here is my negatives, managers stock pile players and it doesn’t help the kids with having enough game time. at 7v7 I see so many sides with around 14 players and possibly more, even with friendlies and league matches, you can’t give the kids enough game time. This stock piling of players is not for the benefit of the kids. you see and hear of too many clubs folding as they can’t field a team, yet a lot of clubs will have more subs than a club that is having to fold. I believe all coaches of local youth teams should support one another, if you can’t guarantee enough game time for some of your players try and speak to teams that could give them game time (with the parents and child’s permission of course), speak to the clubs which are struggling with player numbers and see how you can support. Thank you though to all those volunteers who give up their free time, just to give the kids a platform to play our beautiful game.

It isn’t that difficult for a team to learn how to play counter attacking football. as professionals they will be working on transitional play from defence to attack and vice versa on a daily basis. it is an adjustment of mentality that is the key in implementing this, but yes I agree you need to be solid and structured defensively.

We have enough quality in the squad to avoid relegation but that depends on who we bring in to manage us. we are playing an expansive game when we can’t afford too. we need our full backs to stop crosses coming in and defend the back post, we need our wingers to stretch the pitch but to also be defensively astute as we constantly get outnumbered out wide. we have goals in the squad but we do not have the urgency or bravery on the ball to make things happen. we need to scrap this pass for passing sake mentality and get back to being a counter attacking side, we haven’t earned the right for a long while now to be allowed to play by the the opposition. just give us a manager who will create the right mentality around the club again.

Loved Jason Bourne grilling him, the way Rodgers spoke and his body language was that of someone who knows that their time at the club is numbered.

My French bulldog (2 at the time) had wobbly back legs that she dragged around and couldn’t barely stand, we were told by the vet it was ivdd and that he had booked her in for a specialised assessment and operation in Birmingham. The vet gave us some pain relief for her until her operation that was a about a week away. during that week I massaged and moved her legs ( like physio on the legs) and did this 3 times a day, on each leg for 20 mins at a time and by the 3rd day she was running around with wobbly legs and dragged them slightly still, and by day 6 she’d didn’t drag them at all but was still a little wobbly whilst running. About a week after this (I continued the physio on her during this time), she was fine and it’s been over a year now and she’s still has no issues, I’m glad I read up on the help physio/leg massages on her could have and also thankful that she never needed an operation.

Rodgers to Chelsea now Tuchel has been sacked?
-
he does improve our current 11 as he will stretch the pitch from an attacking point and will also help defensively.

I’m not have a go at your opinion and your right we should all support during adversity but I think we as fans do. As fans we support the club and are loyal to our club which players and managers are not. We have a right to be unhappy at players or managers for not giving their best, but we will always continue to support the club.

I understand your post and agree we have had some bad times and good times but we have to think in the now (current). There are a lot of members on here who are misunderstood as being fickle or over the top but in reality and in general it’s just fans airing their frustrations amongst other fans. These are frustrating times for us fans as we see poor performances and also have a manager that is making excuse after excuse about anything and everything rather than taking ownership of his own failings.

His continual blame of the board and its lack of investment is sending such a negative outlook on our club to the wider audience and it is harming our status and possible future revenue from sponsorship deals etc.. . With how negative he is speaking openly with the media, you can just imagine that the morale around the players and staff is at a real low. The club is being portrayed as being in real difficulty, when in truth it has not long opened a world class training facility, it is raring to go to increase the ground capacity and redevelop its surroundings and it has also has backed the manager even during a pandemic that has hit the Owners hard. Brendan if you can not tactically set up a team with this talent and premier league experience within the squad, it is you who has failed the club. You are called an elite manager who is paid an elite managers wage, but you are not performing or conducting yourself in an elite managers way.

If he is a full back that can stop crosses coming in and can also defend them at the back post, I’m all for it.

Chelsea 2-1 Leicester - Post Match
thegaffa replied to The Year Of The Fox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Yes it was a better performance but let’s be realistic, that is one of the poorest Chelsea starting 11 that they have had in the last 15 years and to then not beat them with 10 men is criminal (we had enough chances). their first goal was poor as amartery gave him too much space to shoot, the second is as woeful as it gets, we don’t stop the cross coming in at the front post and we switch off at the back post. -
yeah your right. Under his tenure though he has bought 10 players costing over £200m, and of those 10 players he hardly plays 6 of them. in his 25 man prem squad this season plus Ricardo, we have 4 players that have came through the academy and out of the remaining 22 nearly half are his signings, this is his squad that he’s assembled. the man’s deluded.

I definitely understand that it would be unimaginable to walk away from that amount of cash a year but maybe they see him as a self centred/obsessed individual who doesn’t want to tarnish his reputation that he has in the media’s eyes.
-
I have a feeling that there is money to spend but the board don’t trust Rodgers with it, I think they had hoped he would have walked due to this. it’s time to pull the trigger on his tenure at the club. Let the new manager and Martyn Glover the recruitment guy get us back on track, on and off the field.

How many times can I vote for him to be out?
-
Thomas Franke or Graham Potter, both excelled at lower level clubs than ourselves.
-
This is a big problem, teams will either press him and know he will give the ball away or they will just mark the other players and know that he will only play 10 yard passes that won’t hurt them.
-
Right now I’d snap your hands of for either Thomas Franke or Graham Potter, both excelling at smaller clubs with lesser calibre players.
