Charlton 0-1 LCFC, post-match thread

We have Ayew or Daka as our first line of defending and pressing, and soumare in midfield as a second line in pressing… lower your expectations mate, whilst they are still in the squad. -
Charlton 0-1 LCFC, post-match thread

Nathan jones is a fifteen inch cock. -
Played well today and is a competent rb at this level but he has to get closer to the winger quicker, on some occasions.
-
This is diabolical

James Justin (signed for Leeds, official. 10m.)
thegaffa replied to SouthStandUpperTier's topic in Transfer Talk
I thought Jayden Joseph looked good when he played full back in pre-season, he could be an option too. -
Looking at his appearances for the first team, he seems to get into really good attacking positions very naturally and quite similar to how Andy king used to, I think kingy would help him considerably in this area of his game. he is a very talented kid.
-
Yes he wasn’t great but the movement of the attacking players around him (bar Monga at times) was shocking, this didn’t leave pockets of space for him to move into. nobody seemed to want the ball most of the night and unless he stood on the half way line or deeper all the time he was on, the ball wouldn’t have been played into him.
-
This is where you need a proper leadership group and captain to pull him up publicly whilst he’s doing this.
-
Hope you get everything sorted and a new owner that wants the club for the right reasons👍

Vesty, soumare, ayew and skipp are shocking

Ruud Van Nistelrooy - Sacked - Official

Maybe some team wants Ruud to manage them and that’s why it’s happened now, I doubt it but who knows. -
Vichai’s son, that’s it.
-
Pretty sure you can sign a pre pro contract that will automatically activate once you hit 17. so I think even if he somehow left during his scholarship then he would be legally bound to honour his pre agreed pro contract.

How is Faes, still stealing a living as a footballer?
-
I agree but to be fair to Mark Blake he was a midfielder
-
I agree he’s been poor at using our youth players this season
-
I think the club gave up on premiership survival a long while ago and probably even expected relegation this season. his remit may of been to give it a good go this season and then play a lot of the youth next season.
-
I said a while back that I think Ruud was possibly brought here due to his successful stint as a youth team coach/manager, and that may be the route the club may look to take with regards to using the academy next season. From a financial aspect and a possible club reset, maybe that’s what it could be 🤷♂️

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

You can blame RVN for picking ayew, BDR, faes and others but it’s always basic poor errors that cost us. this relegation is down to the owners and the board, Rudkin has the most important role at the club and he is inept and way out of his depth. -
They have to be full backs and centre backs as all of our cbs are woeful.

Patrick Wimmer - enquired about loan, Wolfsburg only want to sell

For the city the mighty city patrick plays tonight the wimmer way, the wimmer way -
The only problem with buying players for the championship right now, is that we will be paying premier league prices. If the club had someone who could negotiate that if we bought players now for the championship, we would pay a certain fee and an additional fee if we stayed in the premier league ( don’t laugh 😂), but we haven’t. agree though we need hungry players with something to prove and that they and the club can both develop together over time.
-
He did well as a youth coach at PSV, and at this rate in the championship we may need to play our youngsters due to the financial losses that relegation will cost us. To be fair to RVN, he has inherited a club with no money to spend, a poor squad to sect from and no preseason to work with the players. This whole season we have had 7 or 8 (at least) of our playing 11 all underperform in the games, you can carry 1 possibly 2 players under performing per game but no more.
-
It is irrelevant who manages this team, it will take years to sort out our football club. we have no vision or blueprint for our current teams, from our u8 academy side up to our first team. we have wasted so much money on so many dross signings since our title winning season. The due diligence on these poor signings has been nothing short of woeful, I know not all transfers will be hits, but we have overpaid on fees and wages on them. The blame lays with the owners, they employ someone to sign off these deals. the club has no direction, a soft underbelly and inept people in place running our club. I will always love our club and regardless of what league we will be in next season or even in 5-10 years, we need to restart again and do things the right way.

Comparing this season to 2014/15 Great Escape
thegaffa replied to tickler28's topic in Leicester City Forum
I posted a long while back that when we lost the likes of Huth/Morgan/Fuchs/Kasper, we started to lose virtually all the leaders in not just the squad but the starting line up. These types of players set the standards around the club with regards to professionalism, conduct, camaraderie, characteristics, mentality and also expectations of how the squad train and play. This is why Man Utd where a great team under Fergie but are no longer the same as they have lost those leaders and values. we need to get the right characters into the club from staff to playing staff.
