Worst cb at the club

Faes is woeful
-
One of the worst halves I’ve seen in a long while from a centre back, please take Faes off

Gotta be Annie’s song by John Denver and the start has gotta be: Stefano sensei came from Italy

Too much overplaying as usual throughout the game

Poor and got what we deserved unfortunately. -
His off the ball movement when we have the ball is very good, think Cannon will be a success here

Leicester City In 100 Players: Muzzy Izzet
thegaffa replied to davieG's topic in Leicester City Forum
I agree Maddison has the better close technique and the way he receives the ball on the turn is excellent but Muzzy also drove us forward with his dribbling and off the ball runs, he was a lot more combative and defensively better than Maddison. both quality midfielders but I would want Muzzy in my team whether it was a game that would either win us the league or keep us up. -
Really good result. winks was outstanding. Dont think Ricardo is getting enough credit for his performance, he kept it simple and was available all the time, he also was unlucky with a couple of blocked efforts.

There have been many but Steve Corica’s debut against Sunderland in 1995 and Phil Gee’s performance in the 3-2 Derby win, live long in the memory.
-
you can buy potential at 25, we did just that with Jamie Vardy
-
Well now you will have to stump up the cash for current ability rather than potential. my guess is that just like Maddison, he wouldn’t favour your club over others.

You paid £45m for a possible talent, Barnes has been delivering for the last 3 seasons. Gordon has not done anything of note in the men’s game yet.
-
Ben Mee was good for us in his loan spell.

I think Luke Thomas is underrated and harshly judged by some of our fans. If you can compare Chilwell and Thomas, at the age Thomas is now, Chilwell had played 36 premier league games (Luke has played 56). Chilwell was fortunate to work with Fuchs, who was a class act on the pitch and a model professional, Luke has not really had that opportunity. Chilwell had very similar weaknesses defensively to Luke in his game but was allowed to attack, we did see from earlier appearances from Luke that he was good going forward also. he has had poor games and that hasn’t helped by being picked, dropped and rotated and also playing in a side devoid of confidence, additionally we know Barnes is poor at supporting his full back defensively. we have seen Luke play very well against Salah which is no easy task. I think he has a lot of room for growth in his development.

I’m not saying he isn’t overrated but he isn’t terrible. he is not a good centre back but he is mobile and can play short simple passes. you have your opinion and I have mine.👍

Ethan ampadu would be a good mobile defensive midfielder for us.

Development/Youth Squads 2022/2023 Thread - U18/U21

Paddy McCarthy is their u18’s coach maybe that is who your thinking of mate -
The way he played today reminded me so much of Fuchs but a younger version. he looked to support the attack and did it well but ultimately he was solid defensively and stopped many crosses coming into the box. he has that steel and aggression that we have been lacking at full back. really impressive performance.

There are a fair few talented players in the Scandinavian league like Casper Widell, James Gomez and aral Simsir. Kristiansen looks a good talent too with decent champions league experience already at a young age.

Think it was when draper signed 🤦♂️

Harvey is a very good wide player for a counter attacking side where he only has to beat a man on the break, he is no good when teams sit deep. we know what his strengths and weaknesses are, if we continue to play sideways passes across the back 4 and then give him the ball when they have 9 men behind the ball he will be ineffective.
