I don't agree with you. I just disagree with the notion that fans shouldn't express their feelings. Passing it in your own area to players that are double marked under a high press is asking for trouble and paying fans are sick of it.

I don't think that any Leicester player has the right to dictate how players are treated by fans. The ironic cheering is simply a display of the absolute loathing of this style of play by Leicester fans. No Leicester fan wants to see Luke Thomas receive the ball in his own 6 yard box while facing his own goal. There's no world where that was the right decision but it's a situation we've put our defenders into hundreds of times in the last few seasons. Fans are rightly pissed off by that. Every Leicester fan at the game would tell you the same about McCarthy's performance. Shit with his feet but great with his hands. I'm also sure that that's how McCarthy would describe himself as a footballer because he's a goalkeeper and not Paul Scholes. It's about time the club recognised that.

What was exceptionally baffling was that pass he made to Luke Thomas while he was marked inside his own 6 yard box. One of the craziest decisions I have ever seen a goalkeeper make. I am 100% all for playing out of the back. It's the best way to attack IMO. However, there is surely no harm every now and then in admitting that a press has beaten you and just putting your foot through it. If we can figure that out then we'll be fine but I doubt we will. It invites pressure onto a team that's clearly shitting themselves every time they play at home and worries a crowd that is only ever one goal away from losing their shit. I just wish that every now and then we took the safer option of booting it. I know we're in League 1 so it's little use pointing it out but Souttar was signed to be a Premier League player and Alex McCarthy and Luke Thomas have played hundreds of Premier League games between them. If we played like that against an effective Premier League press we'd have conceded about 19 goals in the first 20 minutes.

A few of their midfield were trying to leave one on him a few times and he didn't back down. Surprisingly quick as well. Felt like he was trying a bit too hard last night but was still a standout player. Amazing what two midfielders that are happy to turn on the ball will do for your team.

Why do we need to replace him? It's like being told we can have a million quid but we've turned it down because we've not got a wallet to put it in. Sell him and worry about replacing him after. Won the jackpot by getting interest in him, don't **** it up.

I like him and I think he'll do well in League 1. But 4 years is ****ing barmy. We've got to get better at standing up to agents of players that play for clubs that don't want them. 3 years would have been fine but you know full well that we will not move him on and he'll leave on a free. Probably after a couple of loans.

His price is already seemingly high though. £10m+ on a League 1 teenager is crazy high. One season (or even 4 months) won't push that up too high. If the price was £4-5m then i'd agree but it sounds like we're firm on a good price for him.

This is one where if it was going to happen it would have happened by now IMO. Man United aren't going to have plans to have him in their first team just yet so no great rush to get it done. I suspect there will be some verbal agreement with Man United and Page's family/representatives and it'll just be a case of waiting for the right time.
