Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
roblcfc84 replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
You look at yesterdays team and think he’s completely incapable and not planning for the future. Personally I think that’s the most likely scenario. Is there any chance he’s playing the players who won’t be involved next to avoid damaging the confidence of the new players and youth players. Let these lads suffer the humiliation and start totally fresh next year? -

I just don’t feel anything, so strange. Maybe it’s just been coming for so long. -
100%, him and Stephy did well.
-
As bad as it’s ever been, I’ve never not cared.
-
I’d take Gary O’Neil tbh
-
Tbf to him, one of the few who gives it everything he’s got. Yeah probably not good enough, but at least he gets stuck in.
-
Legit think Ruud is the worse manager we’ve ever had. We’ve had some shockers but there is absolutely no desire from anyone involved
-
Tbf and I know most won’t agree, but as bad as was, he was one of the better players last night. BDR shouldn’t be anywhere near a PL side.
-
Cooper was legit 100 times more competent than Ruud. Yes we have problems on and off the pitch, yes the squad isn’t good enough, but even with all that, the performances since he took over have been horrendous

(Excluding JV) we haven’t had a single decent (consistent) striker since Ulloa.
-
Ricky P marking Tammy Abraham for corners, even after the first went in. I know, not unpopular but still blows my mind.

Better record than RVN with arguably tougher fixtures -

Could see Dyche in before Arsenal -
No idea, can’t claim to understand the intricacies. Sponsorship deal for one.

That’s the question I’m asking. I know that’s the narrative, what I’m saying is in the last 4/5 years explain that investment? Training ground could have been financed any number of ways. We’ve sold at least 120m in players and had a promotion which is apparently 200m, I understand there’s multiple costs to a club. Ipswich have spent. I’m asking where’s the investment?
-
I’ve not done any analysis on this, so interested if anyone has a view. i know we’ve overpaid in terms of contracts and that KP have written off debt. But given we’ve had a promotion, played in Europe recently and sold key assets, the level of actual investment in players seems no existent since COVID. is the club propping KP up?

Sad thing is he’s still better than Daka and Edouard

You can see what Ruud is trying do, he just doesn’t have the squad. Long term he might be decent. This season was about pragmatism and not trying to play. -
Tbf fans hounded Cooper out, but don’t think we’d have lost to Palace and Wolves at home under him
-
This one is really odd for me, always looked very solid when I’ve seen him and has pace. Unless it’s a personality clash or he hasn’t settled in the UK.
-
He’s miles better than what we have.
-
Honestly, RVN needs time, but he’s making Cooper look considerably more pragmatic and sensible
-
Worst goal we’ve ever conceded, embarrassing

JJ was the one for me yesterday. The midfield was a problem, and Ward doesn’t inspire confidence, but JJ really struggled. Not sure Stephy is quite PL quality either. -
Had a really good game last night, and has showed some other good moments this season. Previously the criticism of him was totally justified, but he’s playing well now and developing with each game.
