  1. Thing is, we’ve made loads of big money ‘exciting signings’ in the past that have flopped - Musa, Perez, Silva, Iborra, Inler, Slimani etc. Then we’ve signings that have looked uninspiring and gone on to do well - Simpson, Fuchs, there’s loads to be honest. Let’s at least see how he does eh!
  2. Did enjoy his dig at Brendan, I’m not about my own brand, im about the club. Certainly that’s how I interpreted it 😂
  3. Clearly seen as an option that can help us see out games, and hold the ball up when we are under pressure. We’ll need different types of players this year. He’s an option and it’s impossible to judge this transfer until the window closes. If he’s all we get in…fair enough
  4. Thinking purely of this season, and the fact we will need high effort and lots of experience, this makes sense. Maybe not as a regular starting, but as an option.
  5. Yeah it felt like Cooper thought something was close
  6. I do think he’s underrated by some fans. Came on last night and immediately made an impact, always gets in the box and his work rate is fantastic.
  7. Honestly really like him, very honest in his assessment. Think he’ll do well.
  8. Pretty low. Tbf they are streets ahead of us, their squad is miles better. Still in it and had a few moments here and there. First game back up, limited options up front, could have been worse. Reid struggled mind.
  9. Actually think we’ve done ok
  10. No way this is a full £20m up front. Did someone mention they still owed some for Maddison?
  11. Ayoze Perez – £28.5m. Islam Slimani – £26.5m. Patson Daka – £25.6m. Kelechi Iheanacho – £23.6m Reckon he’ll represent better value over his career here than these 4
  12. Very good signing, just what we need. Don’t think we’ll survive without industry and energy in midfield
  13. And the club though mate. They are bidding for the likes of Soule still, and not recalibrating their recruitment strategy to reflect the current position. There are players in the championship and those in the PL not getting game time that are viable. You can’t blame the fans for unrealistic expectations when the club are not showing any self-awareness.
  14. We’ve just seen an example of a player being linked, days go by after a bid has been submitted and then another club seemingly do the deal in 48 hours.
  15. I can see your point, but we are notoriously slow at doing deals and have never been good late in the window…I hope I’m wrong
  16. Unless a minor miracle happens in the few weeks, and we get at least 3 new signings we are absolutely going down.
  17. I know obviously lol, but seemed because it was us he a little more determined. Maybe I’m way off
  18. Thing is, I’m not even sure he even cares that much about the club. Was desperate to beat us in the cup final.
  19. Win win - 10m gets you little these days. If he helps us stay up great, if he doesn’t we arnt stuck with a high earner like we have been before. We all know what he’s capable of and could be a difference maker.
  20. 40m budget and a points deduction, I feel like the club are expecting relegation.
  21. I obviously have no idea how complicated these things are, but we seem to spend forever weighing things up. Surely we have a good idea if he’s good enough or not. Two weeks left to get players in and integrated. We seem to take forever to move on anything.
  22. Personally I don’t think either is good enough to lead the line next season.
  23. Cannon has had nowhere near enough minutes to judge, some of his appearances were right at the end of games. I think the run of 4/5 games Cannon had last season is what most fans are basing their views on. Daka has had loads of chances.
