Unpopular opinion. I was never a fan really. His penalty miss against Cardiff in the play off semi final was equally as poor as the one Kermogant took.

How long have we been on a downward trajectory?

Here, I asked ChatGBT to draw me a graph of the last few years. -
How long have we been on a downward trajectory?

Outside of 15/16, which was lighting in a bottle and pretty much the greatest story in sports history, Rodgers gave us our two highest placed finishes. In reality I think those two years It’s been a rollercoaster of 10 years in reality. Football like business isn’t a straight line. Even post title win, we’d dipped off compared to where we were, as 2017 - 2019 weren’t exactly memorable years. I actually think for two years, Rodgers had us playing great football and had us punching above our perceived weight. I wasn’t keen on his persona, however we played some great football and let’s be honest, reading between the lines and what we’ve seen since, maybe some of what he was saying about a squad refresh was true. In reality I think the first two full seasons of Rodgers did more to heighten the clubs expectations, than the title win in 15/16 did. He largely became a victim of his own success. People complain about Perez, however he did a lot of the Okazaki type (dirty) work but in reality, he wasn’t a winger or midfielder. So the role he had with pressing which he did well, went okay. We were better with him in the team, rather than an Tete for example. We were definitely a worse team when we shipped him and Albrighton out on loan. He was very much a system player though. If you look at our loss ratio by season, then it makes for interesting reading. 14/15 - 42 games. lost 21. 50% losses. 15/16 - 43 games, lost 5. 11.6% losses. 16/17 - 54 games, lost 24. 44.4% losses. 17/18 - 47 games, lost 17. 36.17% losses. 18/19 - 43 games, lost 18. 41.86% losses. 19/20 - 48 games, lost 14. 29.27% losses. 20/21 - 53 games, lost 15. 28.3% losses. 21/22 - 58 games, lost 20. 34.48% losses. 22/23 - 45 games, lost 24. 53.33% losses. 24/25 so far. 29 games, lost 17. 58.62% losses. Reading between the lines, if we continue at the current rate, I’d hazard a guess and say the feeling of apathy toward the club will start to get worse, as with 14 games left, we could feasibly lose a heavy proportion of those. Even in 07/08 when we were relegated to League 1, we lost 20 games from 51 games. So had a loss rate of 39.21%. The overall connection to the club for a large proportion of the fan base has not felt so disconnected in the 35+ years I’ve been a supporter. Whilst you’re winning everyone is happy, people will tolerate more of the King Power FC stuff, Thai influencers, crappy merchandise, dodgy sponsors, lack of January player investment etc, as the more casual fan wants to see us win games. Drawing games is a bit mundane and boring. Repeated losses hit morale and sour the mood. It’s as black and white as that. I’d raise a counter argument to what many say and basically say if you balance up squad ability, perceived player effort, wages, Top having a pop at the fans, complete disconnect, ridiculous marketing, even more ridiculous sponsorship, cost of attending games and general lack of what feels like awareness or care of what is currently occurring…… I’d say we at our lowest point in terms of club to supporter engagement …. ever! -
We’ve got 1 squad space free - who are you signing?

I play with the daughter. I’m average at best!

Unfortunately with war, the history tends to be written by the victor. So much gets swept under the carpet I’d imagine. Both sides of this conflict have blood on their hands. It’s just a domino effect of tragedies, that will continue this way until one is wiped out. They literally seem unable to co-exist. The concern is, that we are starting to see other demographics come into conflict with each other, as the world becomes a much smaller place.

So we’ve registered a 24 man squad, which means we’ve got a place for a free agent. The list is about as exciting as standing on a Lego brick or plug in the dark, however, who would you choose to get us out of this predicament? https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/statistik/vertragslosespieler I’ll be honest and say I was tempted by Ben Yedder for the simple fact he annoyed me so much on FIFA back in the day, however I think we need some defensive stability, The list is honking though….

I’ve no ill feeling toward Arsenal. In fact, I find their fans / Arsenal TV quite funny at times. They are a big club. To compare them to us is a little bit silly. Wenger re-built them when he arrived in London and they became a force. To put it into perspective, our more expensive signing ever is Youri Tielemans r at €45 . Arsenal paid that for Granite Xhaka in 2016 and he’s their 11th most expensive transfer ever.

Bless Akolbire Joining from Arsenal then. -
You can see how quickly the tide has turned against Starmer. So many people just didn’t vote Conservative as a change was required. Labour have inflicted self harm on themselves, by going back on pledges. Rightly or wrongly, whether it needed doing or not, that’s what they’ll be remembered for. People will throw mud at Rishi but overall, he didn’t do a bad job, compared to the Cabbage Lady and Boris. I think whoever took this period in office, was always in for a bit of a torrid time. Ultimately the rise of reform at the moment, will come off the back of the distrust in Starmer and his current strategy currently, then the cluster than was the previous four years of the Conservatives. Four years is a long time though. We’ve got another 1,400+ newspaper headlines they’ve got to survive yet. It’s easy to reach the top of one mountain. Once you become the target for the British media, they will look to tear you apart, as so many see. Then we’ve always got the “Elon” impact.

American Football is a very boring sport, with about 11 minutes of action in 4 hours.

Any relation to Teressa Green? -
This is how I feel about the sport! I struggle to understand how they say call it “elite level”. I’m also aware that this reply most likely belongs in the unpopular opinion thread.
-
I’ve seen nothing to convince me that we aren’t getting battered in this game.
-
This could be 6 or 7. I mean, we folded against a poor Everton, Wolves and Palace team. These are completely competent. So we are getting a goal difference hammering.

I’m kinda hoping he walks away today, now he’s had his moment at Old Trafford. He’s not been backed. The squad is a mess. He played Danny Ward. We’ve been battered in pivotal games. -

Dog awful performance last night. Truly awful. This is no better than what Cooper provided us with. -
Agree. I have a strong dislike for him.
-
Oh well. We’ve been battered in this half.
-
He’s tore us to pieces this half.
-
Okoli needs to play every game left. He’s showed more passion in one game, that most of the squad have all season.
