  1. I mean, it clearly isn’t …..
  2. I’m convinced that when he leaves and gets a run of game time, he’ll be a very good forward. The issue we have with him, is that he’s amongst the highest earners at the club and it’s not sustainable if he isn’t going to be our main striker next season, or remain as a backup.
  3. Not many new managers walk into a club that is performing above expectation. They’ve taken the job because someone else was perceived to have failed.
  4. I believe we’ll sit her on Monday at 23:00 and have crossed these off my Sky Sports News Bingo card. ———————————————— Edouard will stay at Leicester until the end of the 24/25 season. Akpom has signed for Marseille on a three year deal. Leicester had interest in Tel, however he choose to go to Aston Villa. Leicester had interest in Tomori, however he choose to join Newcastle. Leicester are pleased to announced the signing of Tyrone Mings on a three year deal, subject to clearance. Leicester has late interest in Tammy Abraham, however it was too late to complete medicals in time. Oxlaide-Chamberline has signed for Leeds on loan until the end of the 24/25 season, with the option to buy. Leicester announce the signing of Nicolas Pepe on a 4 year deal. Chelsea have purchased Will Alves from Leicester for £37,000,000 on a six year deal. Leicester have signed Harrison Murray-Campbell from Chelsea for £32,000,000 on a six year deal. Leicester made enquiries to sign Mahrez and Kante from the Saudi Pro League, unfortunately wage demands and the need to pay a transfer fee were stumbling blocks. Jobe Bellingham has turned down the chance to sign for Leicester City after a £25,000,000 transfer was accepted. Leicester are pleased to announce the signing of Josh Brownhill for an undisclosed fee. Jeremy Monga has left Leicester to join the Manchester City academy.
  5. We haven’t had squad space. We’ve needed to move players on to free places up. We have now done that and have one slot. Eduoard has been a total waste of a space but to send him back to Palace is going to cost us £5,000,000 apparently. We’ve can’t loan anyone else from the Premier League without sending him or Buonanotte back. We are struggling to attract players to join us and are stuck in the waiting games queue.
  6. Agreed. It is getting somewhat concerning that we are sat here still and nothing is happening.
  7. Such a bizarre rumour. I can only imagine he was considered as he can cover various option across the front line. He’s never really hit potential.
  8. I’d rather retain the players we have than side this bloke.
  9. It’s a bit hit and miss. I should have put the value in as you’re right, some high profile, expensive flops amongst that list!
  10. So I’m not pointing the finger anywhere, however eventually players are going to leave on free transfers. It happens at every football club. I’m not convinced that we are any better, or worse than any other football club for getting transfers right / wrong. We tried to punch above our weight and for 5 years maybe, we got that right. That nucleus of that team was Pearson, Shakespeare and Walsh. They built a culture of statistical (money ball) type scouting and it worked. In that time, we also signed players than didn’t work. Pearson wasn’t the person to take us to that next level. Ranieri and his experience and improved tactical knowledge did. Again, we pulled the trigger at the right time as we’d have sunk without getting rid of Claudio. Puel again added some stabilisation however Rodgers took us to the next level. People can only hear the same voice / message for so long before that drowns out. They don’t stay motivated. So you either change the players or the coach. Once everything is achieved, what are you chasing? It’s good to sometimes lose personnel at any level. You just have to succession plan for it. Who replaces Ruud? We didn’t have a plan it seems Rodgers failed. That should have been sorted months before. Who replaces Vardy. He’s a legend, however his wages have crippled us for years. If we’d have signed a player and moved him on at the right age, then we’d have maybe generated a transfer fee. At the top level, you can’t make sentimental decisions. The greatest football managers and clubs know this. It’s why Pep, Mourinho, Ferguson have succeeded, as they don’t take the path of least resistance. Sometimes the hardest route is the correct one. Albeit you need to be brave and it maybe goes against the culture of respect that is within Thai culture. So whilst Rudkin isn’t the person for the job, to move him on when he was been at the helm for our most successful period, is totally, totally against the character of everything that King Power are about. Additionally, we may have lost millions, however losing £140m, when you are a multi billionaire, is not the equivalent of someone having the debate on whether than money keeps the lights on if they didn’t pay the electricity bill. Leicester, Leuvan, Horse Racing, Polo, football pitch building and everything else with the sports division of King Power is about expanding the Brand. If you lose £150m a year but it generates £500m elsewhere, you right it off as a loss leader for greater gain. To them, Rudkin could be doing an excellent job, as we don’t know what his targets are.
  11. If you’re prepared, then this window is no different to the summer one. Teams typically over pay for in form, top players. Our market is the semi unknowns that have good stat matrix, so we are taking calculated risks. Why we haven’t moved on some of these is bizarre.
  12. Are we replacing back up strikers? If so I can suggest at least 10 more with better metrics than Akpom. Mateo Retegui Jonathan Burkardt Jonas Wind Mohamed Amoura Tim Kleindienst Phil Harres Vincenzo Grifo Evann Guessand Timothy Weah Daniel Mosquera I’d rather re-sign Ayoze Perez than Akpom.
  13. I guess the case put forward by King Power against the manufacturer will centre around what they could have done to mitigate any known design fault, then having known about it, have they made alterations to other units that are still in service. Unfortunately if other units are still within operation and they haven’t been modified, then evidence suggest whilst something could be better, other units haven’t crashed. It then centres around routine maintenance, recommended schedules, planned preventative maintenance, etc Most sales contracts have force majeure (acts of god), or limited liability for mechanical failure. This is normally limited to the cost of the initial purchase. They’ll also likely have had consequential loses within the contract for similar reasons. More large organisations have travel polices in place, discouraging senior team members from travelling together, so they don’t have a severe impact to business in the instance of tragic events.
  14. It’s not dissimilar to say we have a player in Daka, however he can’t get in from of Vardy.
  15. They worked together at Everton.
  16. For UFS, I guess it’s about choosing your battles. I’m guessing being attached to a protest to oust the board, isn’t one they particularly want to be associated with. Whilst they have engagement within the club, they can be a growing voice for the fans as they now have dialect. Any good business listens to its business and acts upon feedback. UFS could / would be a major channel for that if done correctly. If the club gets wind of anyone in the Reset group, I’d imagine they will be blacklisted and banned given the chance .
  17. I think that’s harsh on Mavididi to be honest. He has not had the best of seasons, however in the Championship he did look a class above at times. Mav was 13 goals and 6 assist last season.
  18. He’s the best player in the Korean K League. Massive, huge player and they love him and by all accounts, he loves playing out there.
  19. Glover has an interesting transfer history. I’d say more hits than misses personally. Just looking at the last three clubs he’s been at. Leicester - Sep 15, 2022 Skipp El Khannous Fatawu Okoli Golding Ayew De-Cordova Reid Buonanotte Eduoard Winks Cannon Coady Hermansen Mavididi Akgun Doyle Casadei Souttar Faes Kristiansen Tete Smithies Southampton - Apr 15, 2019 - Sep 14, 2022 Lavia Bazunu Bella-Kotchap Mara Caleta-Car Edozie Aribo Larios Maitland-Niles Livramento Armstrong Parraud Walcott Lyanco Broja Walker-Peters Salisu Diallo Minamino Ings Adams Djenpo Danso Everton - Aug 15, 2016 - Apr 14, 2019 Richarlason Mina Digne Zouma Gomes Bernard Sigurdsson Keane Pickford Klasson Walcott Tosun Vlasic Onyekuru Ramirez Martina Rooney Mangala Bolasie Schneiderlin Williams Lookman Gueye Calvert-Lewin Stekelenburg Valencia

  21. Woah, you missed out Coady, Ward and Ricardo. All are the same age as the Ox!
  22. He’s far ahead If where I suspected he’d be when it first happened. I was told he was undertaking rehabilitation sessions up to three times per day and focussing on getting himself back to fitness. Compare that to the average person that maybe sees someone once a week, then does recovery exercises at home. At the rate he’s going, it isn’t out of the question we see him back in ball training this season. Which would be remarkable. Injured late November, normally turnaround is six to nine months. I guess it depends if they are confident in him not getting injured again, or just wait to re-integrate him next season.
  23. Plays for the U23s quite a bit. Clearly a PSR shuffle. Ultimately, same as Alves, maybe needs a loan.
  24. Scotland is a different FA with a much smaller pyramid. They also had the original assets as they were secured. Middlesbrough never actually folded in the 80s, as they were saved by Steve Gibson. So not a Phoenix club in the sense that someone like Bury AFC, or AFC Wimbledon are.
  25. I’m not so sure a Phoenix club would be admitted into the league though. To start with, where on earth is this club playing? Where are they training etc Why should they be allowed into the league system, bypassing others that are grafting to get higher up the pyramid.
