Liam Delay could be the one.

It’s an approach that is becoming more mainstream. Basically withdraw support and apply pressure, be unreasonable and that’s the quiet firing, forcing people to leave for pastures new!
-
I’d always voted Conservative. Until Boris. They were a mess then, they are a mess now. I’d actually say Cameron, May and Sunak are the more likeable ones out of the merry go round we’ve had since they came into power. Truss and Johnson are ego maniacs, I can’t understand why anyone would vote to let a fox run the hen house. Yes they are charismatic, however some of the great warlords and dictators of history were and look what they did.
-
Are they adapting the “quiet firing” approach, so they don’t need to pay redundancy payments?
-
I need to find an alternative when it comes to voting. The conservatives are a mess. I won’t vote for Starmer. I just can’t warm to him or labour.

Gone but not forgotten and certainly not the death list

I think @Ric Flair has a better grasp of this than me, however I believe the embargo allows us to still purchase players, as the actual transaction is no different to Rudkin buying himself a new fax machine. The embargo just stops of registering new players. As we will no longer be in the EFL, this will not impact us by the time the registration window opens. What we don’t know yet, is what the EPL are going to do with us, as with us muting legal action, have we just delayed the inevitable like Manchester City. The deal with KDH is the awkward one as we don’t really know how we’ve amortised the transfer amounts, especially with the bank loans used ti offset them. We don’t really get transparency on each clubs profitability and sustainability rules (PSR) for each season, so we are all shooting in the dark based on financial losses within the accounts. However the accounts aren’t an exact science with the PSR rules, as we are allowed to makes loses on infrastructure, women’s team etc, as they don’t count.

That sacking reminds me of when we got rid of Pearson and replaced him with Sousa. They will go backwards in my opinion.

I guess this is why a demographic of people prefer non league.

https://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/1896210/Chelsea-David-Luiz-shirt-transfer-Leicester-Wout-Faes ‘Chelsea sent me a signed David Luiz shirt and offered me big money - but I told them no' Chelsea tried to tempt a young starlet into joining them by sending him a signed David Luiz shirt. Leicester City star Wout Faes reportedly rejected a move to Chelsea, even though the Blues peppered him with gifts and a lucrative contract offer. Faes turned down the approach from Chelsea, instead putting pen to paper on a move to Leicester. While the Foxes might’ve been relegated at the end of the 2022/23 season, they did at least take the talented Faes down with them. Arriving from French side Reims for £15million, the centre-back was touted as one of the most promising defenders in Europe at the time - something reflected by Chelsea’s interest in the Belgian. It’s claimed that the west Londoners tried to sign Faes when he was a teenager in the Anderlecht academy. What’s more, in an attempt to pry him away from the Belgian outfit, Chelsea sent Faes a shirt signed by then-Blues star David Luiz. Speaking to The Telegraph last season, Faes said: “Maybe if I had gone there I would have got more money but that was not important. I wanted to have the best education and I knew at Anderlecht they were really counting on me and saw me as a future talent. “It was more important to stay there and progress there. I never thought: ‘I should have gone to Chelsea.’ I have no regrets.” Faes might’ve been ruing that decision at the end of his first season in England after Leicester dropped into the second tier of English football. However, having decided to stick with the club in the summer, the 26-year-old played a key part in guiding the Midlands outfit back to the Premier League as champions. Featuring in all but three of Leicester’s 46 Championship fixtures, the dynamic defender caught the eye with his impressive passing range and stellar dribbling ability - a trait unique to a centre-back with Faes’ build. But while the 6ft 1in star may have endeared himself to the Foxes faithful, Leicester could face a battle to keep him at the club during the summer transfer window. It was reported in January that the David Luiz lookalike was a target for Serie A outfit Atalanta - a move which failed to materialise. However, should a side competing in Europe next season come knocking, Faes could, this time around, find the opportunity too good to turn down.

Dennis Praet has basically said he won’t be here. Ndidi - nothing. Iheanacho - nothing. Albrighton has said he still has a few more years in his legs and wants to play. So that will be elsewhere. Vestergaard - nothing. Doyle, Fatawu and Akgun are loans. So we will have to wait and see. I’d imagine Iversen, Soumare, Thomas and Kristensen return and are reviewed once the dust settles on holidays. They’ll then decide what to do with them all and the likes of Souttar. I can imagine a few of the U23 squad are expiring also.

I said it on the day. We are celebrating righting a wrong and invited a bunch of random nobodies to get paraded around on a blue bus, that would have cost a fair amount. A bus parade like that should be used so children and supporters can meet their hero’s, not some random people. It’s okay saying yeah, they’ve got followers etc etc …. Vardy has more than them put together. We have become a caricature of King Power Football Club in many ways. It’s an ongoing joke and I said to my wife after the defeat on Saturday, that the worst bit was yet to come as they rolled out a load of random people onto the pitch. If we must celebrate, let it be the players, let the younger generation connect with them, as they will give us future income for years to come, rather than supporting Haaland or Mbappe FC.

Thomas does has one more year. No one will leave officially until the 30th June either way.

https://www.lep.co.uk/sport/football/preston-north-end/tom-cannon-leicester-city-preston-north-end-blackburn-rovers-4617581 Ryan Lowe's transfer stance as Preston North End reportedly back in for £7.5m star Another Preston North End transfer rumour as a newly promoted Premier League striker has been linked. Preston North End have been linked with re-signing Leicester City striker Tom Cannon, according to a report. Alan Nixon, a journalist that reports on the EFLfor The Sun has posted on his Patreon that North End along with their Lancashire rivals Blackburn Rovers are interested in pursuing a move. A loan deal has been suggested for Cannon, who struggled with game time at the King Power Arena following an injury-hit campaign. Cannon joined the Foxes on a deal worth £7.5m last summer when a return to Deepdalelooked to be on the cards. The Lilywhites had aligned everything for him to come but then in the latter stages of the window, Leicester gazumped them to his signature and North End opted to sign Milutin Osmajic for a club record fee instead. The 21-year-old made just 13 appearances in Leicester's title winning campaign scoring two goals. He missed the first two months of the campaign with a back injury and then had just 15 minutes of pitch time from early March to the end of the season. Leicester despite already winning the league did not include Cannon in their squad for their final match against Blackburn, who are also interested in taking him. They might need some attacking reinforcements as Sammie Szmodics who won the Golden Boot award with 27 goals in 44 games is attracting interest from the Premier League. It has also been suggested that Sam Gallagher might depart Ewood Park with his contract up in the summer. Ryan Lowe of course worked with Cannon before during his loan spell and will have a few things on his agenda for the next few weeks. He will first be sitting down with those out of contract, as well as drawing up a list of potential transfer targets. Asked which positions he’d be targeting, he said: “We’ll have to wait and see, won’t we? We’ve got every position on the recruitment list, that we potentially might need. And do you know what? We’ve got five strikers at the minute - four contracted - but I am not saying I won’t look for another striker. Something might materialise.”

I thought this earlier. He’s a reasonable player but is very hit and miss.

We need a rerun of the Biscuit World Cup!

https://dailycannon.com/2024/05/amani-richards-leicester-exit/ Former Arsenal academy striker Amani Richards looks to be on the move again this summer, with a number of clubs interested in his signature. The Evening Standard report that Brentford, QPR, Sunderland, and clubs in Germany, Belgium, and Denmark are all interested in former Arsenal academy forward Amani Richards this summer. The teenager currently plays his football for Leicester City, having joined the Foxes from Arsenal back in early 2022. But he’ll be out of contract again this summer, and he’s pushing to move on. Leicester were keen to keep the youngster, pushing to extend his contract. Ideally, they’d still like him to renew. But the player’s desire to play first-team football and the lack of opportunities to do so with his current club have led to him running down his deal instead.

It’s going to be an interesting rebuild, as only then club know what they can / can’t spend.

Rudkin will still be here.

He isn’t a bad player in reality. For a free transfer and if we paid him £60k a week on a 3 year contract. That’s around £9.3m.
