  1. You’re more active than us @spacemunky! All our efforts are currently into peddling the 5000-1 charity game that they are now giving tickets away for
  2. Do people actually buy any of this junk? Has anyone ever been seen sporting any of this?
  3. That is, so, so sad.
  4. Yes; I’ll agree with this in fairness. Reflecting on what @AKCJ typed as well, you do make an element of your own luck and he did build a competent team around him. People always spoke highly of Susan Whelan as well, who was a Vichai appointment.
  5. Can I say something that will upset a few people (I think). Vichai got bloody lucky as well. We weren’t well run with him around either, he just just got more of the run of the green as Pearson, Walsh and Shakespeare guided us through better than chopping / changing has done. You only have to look at the poor recruitment in 16/17. Puel for all his wrongs, would make an excellent Director Of Football as whilst he was as exciting as watching paint dry, he did help revive us. King Power got lucky. We weren’t well run under Vichai, maybe not as bad as we are now, however we were a different team without Kante.
  6. Surely we can’t get relegated again …… can we?
  7. Having seen who we are playing, are be re-selling my ticket (should I have been tempted to have purchased one in the first place).
  8. If you want a play thing, it’s much cheaper running a club in Belgium, than in England. At some point, he needs to cut loose and sell us.
  9. It can be done both ways but in fairness. If we are factoring, it blows my mind that we are using Vampire bank, rather than utilising the King Power finances. Unless King Power has cut the money on a vanity project / money pit, which isn’t great either way. We will finance the El Khannous and Fatawu sales I’d imagine.
  10. Currently sat at Gloucester Services. I can’t see John Rudkin. I think this is maybe a bit too classy for him and Top though.
  11. In fairness, I was burnt out after a terrible season so haven’t really engaged with football for a few weeks. I‘d like to have filled this in with hindsight, I listened to the BSLB podcast yesterday and I thought whoever represented the @Foxes_Trustspoke well. Making a valid point that you can now register as a free member, which I will take up. I’m going to do this today. I’ll also jump onto this later.
  12. Did we upset the club again?

    The Weather

Wow! That much! I’m currently down in Somerset and it’s still bloody warm with no rain in sight.
  14. I think I read that Thailand has a gambling mentality. We rolled the dice and lost. They’re all owned by the King Power Group. Stadium is King Power Holdings and on hire purchased to the club, extended until 2036 Belvioir Drive has covenants on what can happen with it. The training ground sits as a liability on Leicesters book and has a book value of £40m from memory.
  15. You can get the battery screwdrivers on Amazon. They just come with a really long slong to get into tight places.
  16. My wife and I were discussing this earlier. How do dogs in hotter countries cope? We came to the conclusion they’re more acclimatised to it!

    The Weather

I do find this weather unbearable. I’m far happier on a mild 15 - 20c and the sun being out. I think wearing sun cream makes it worse though, as I just feel greasy and sticky. It’s the humidity that does it, more than the heat though. As you sweat and can’t cool down.
  18. Realistic view is it’s additional investment from an outside financier. King Power Holdings already own the stadium. The club have that on a hire purchase agreement, so we are efficiently paying rent to use it. Of they did the same with the training ground and sold it for “x” millions, that would give the club / king power a cash injection but then they’d be paying rent to use it. Depends on what the book value of Seagrave is Vs the fair market assessment. I’m not entirely sure if this is even permissible under the new finance laws now. Knowing our looking, the Leicestershire based property companies looking to invest is King Power Holdings.
  19. It could make us a lot worse though. If you ignore that the ground is on hire purchase from King Power Holdings, you’d have: Stadium Training ground Additional Land purchased Academy players Offloading first team players Maintenance at a minimal until stuff is sold etc It could be the pits and turn into a Sheffield Wednesday situation.
  20. The fixtures are released a month today.
  21. I was thinking instead of having 5 people doing 40 hours + overtime, they’d employ 3 people and let them do 60+ hours each. Lowering the headcount. You’d be lowering your fixed costs, so when work gets quieter, they’d rely on the goodwill of its people to undertake overtime. You could also see the model have a stress toll on smaller teams, if / when it almost becomes expected, rather than the norm. It’s that balance of burnout vs mental health. I say this though as someone that doesn’t get paid overtime! I’m sure some would welcome the change in law.
  22. They are a woeful party but the fact people seem to want to vote for them on mass blows my mind.
  23. So reform are proposing scrapping tax on people doing overtime (as long as it’s 40+ hours per week). Will that just lead to business employing less people and relying on people doing 60+ hours per week? Therefore ….. getting less tax. Another daft proposal aiming to grab votes?
  24. Joking aside, you could see someone like Mattioli Woods investing in us if we are devalued. It’ll be investment for future sale though, as it they’re owned by Pollen Capital. Or it would just be restructuring debt, however why would they use a Leicestershire based firm to do that when they’ve always used vampire bank previously.
