As things stand, we could be reliant on our youth next season. If you consider we’ll most likely have Fatawu, El Khannous, Alves, Cover, Skipp, Marcel, McAteer, Nelson, Mavididi etc still here, we have some technical ability. Winks appears to have been put out to sit in the corner and will be moved on. Personally I rate him but I know that’s diverse. He was a cheat code for how good he was in the Championship in my opinion. He’s a better version of Skipp (who we didn’t need). Choudhury will actually suffice in the destroyer role if we need someone. People will role their eyes but we aren’t spending loads. If he doesn’t leave, we’ll play him. Ndidi, Winks, Hermansen, Daka, Okoli, Kristiansen, Soumare, Coady and Faes are the ones I’d tipped to be sold. I love Ricky but he’s not the same player. We’ll most likely get to see him captain us next season. We’ll also keep Vestergaard, Justin, Nelson, Souttar, Thomas with backup from the reserves. That leaves Vardy, Ward, Iversen leaving on frees. Replacing Vardy is the challenge. If we don’t sell Daka, it’ll be him leading the line. People will groan but we don’t have the headroom to have 2 strikers now on that type of money. He will be backed up by Evans, Reid and Ayew. We’ll sign a random backup goalkeeper. I see next season as book balancing, with another clear out the year after, as so many contracts of higher earners are then up for renewal. I’d imagine next season it’ll be something like: GK : Stolarkzyk, NEW, *Youth* DF : Coulibaly, Ricardo, Justin, Thomas, Vestergaard, Nelson, Souttar, *Youth* MF : McAteer, Fatawu, Mavididi, Monga, Alves, El Khannous, Skipp, Choudhury *Youth* FW : Daka, Evans, Ayew, Reid The clear out will help with the fan base perception, as most of what is disliked about the club now, will be gone.that squad is capable of competing.

He’ll be our shining star next season. We have the potential with the talent we have to make a difference. We just need to develop them and cut the dead, expensive wood. A midfield / attack of Monga, Fatawu, Alves, Skipp, Mavididi, El Khannous should be plenty good enough for the Championship. Fatawu could be the star of the season if he comes back and continues the upward trajectory he was on.

Last One Laughing was brilliant. They’ll do a season two but I wondered what other comedians you’d need to put in to top it. The concept is great in that it’s so simple really. Half a days filming and it’s one of Amazons most watched shows so far this year in the UK. They could in theory knock one of these out every month! It’s that simple and it’s nice easy TV viewing. I guess the balance is finding what we theoretically could fill. I think I’ve mentioned this before, however they should have built an analytical model that indicates how we maximise revenue / profit on a match day. This should show the optimum ticket price to fill the stadium ti a point where we get a footfall that purchases “tat” and “average football food” from the shop / stores as well. It’s more than just the ticket price.

I still think we should have kept him around in 22/23, as he at least worked hard and had some ability. That entire midfield that have now left (and Ndidi) shouldn’t have been performing to the standard they were.
