  1. Along these lines, Birmingham’s main sponsor last season was ‘Undefeated’ or something.
  2. We need @Julian Joachim Jr Shabadoo to sort out some Steve Cooper emoji things. Thanks Julian.
  3. This is the point. He managed to turn an utterly dreadful, relegation-fodder Forest, full of malaise - who has been this way for years - into a team that ultimately got promoted. He then kept them up for a season, despite working for a lunatic crime lord, whose son wanted to play Football Manager and went round Europe signing wastemen. These are huge achievements, and demonstrate that he can get good results against the odds and working in difficult circumstances.
  4. That worked well.
  5. And why were England playing long ball for the last 15 mins? To be fair, the ode boys who sit near me at the KP must have been loving it. FORWARDS!!!
  6. Vestergaard was quality. As were several of the Denmark players. England were shite. Rice was uncharacteristically dodgy, A-Arnold is just a gimp, Bellingham did nothing, Foden is a ball-greedy little shit and Kane played defensive mid for most of his time on the pitch.
  7. He’s unquestionably a good manager / coach, and that’s what matters really.
  8. This is approx the level of meltdown on FT every time we: * Lose a game * Draw a game we expected to win * Are linked with any player * Sack a manager * Don’t sack a manager * Are linked with any manager * Don’t play exciting enough football * Pass the ball more than about twice * Drop a player * Don’t drop a player * Don’t play someone from the ressies
  9. Where the hell are you sitting? Next to Top?
  10. I’ve been hoping for Pottertime for years. He’s always just seemed like a good fit for us as a club.
  11. I’d genuinely forgotten about all this for a few days because of the Euros.
  12. Unfortunately, the ‘papers are reporting that the pair had a “violent bust-up”!
  13. "Potter's all the rage, Jerry. Kids love Potter."
  14. Nobody knows who our next manager is going to be, because we always keep negotiations under wraps. The bookies haven't had a clue for the last several appointments. There's a good chance that the journalists who claim we've approached or spoken to X or Y manager are absolutely correct, but this may well be gauging candidates' interest. There are certain managers who will obviously be on our radar, and we have already guessed those names, because they're as obvious to the club's board as they are to us. It would be highly surprising if we didn't make contact with the likes of Potter, Cooper, even Sarri to see whether there is any potential interest before wasting time drawing up a shortlist of uninterested candidates. I expect we've made contact with each of these names, as well as several that none of us have thought of.
  15. Since seeing that picture of Potter with a slightly mod-style haircut, it's put me off a bit. Mods are - as we know - complete and utter bellends.
  16. The OS reporting on Fatawu's performance with Ghana. Surely wouldn't be doing so if he was finished with the club. EDIT: Though, having said that, they also mentioned Akgun in the same story, thus immediately trashing my theory.
  17. Genuinely hope not. The guy's a bona fide clown.
  18. Well evidently not for Cooper, because he already worked for the England set-up.
  19. Sven Goran Ericsson Fabio Capello Sarina Wiegman
  20. I think managers try a bit too hard these days. I'm not into this Pep fashion nonsense. Managers should have two choices: a suit and tie with a double breasted jacket or a big Umbro-style training coat.
  21. What is difficult to accept is that these people are entitled to vote, and that their vote carries equal weight to that of an Oxford professor.
  22. There's about a billion references in this thread to Rudkin's supposed action or inaction around recruiting the new manager, but I'm 99% sure the managerial recruitment is lead by Susan Whelan.
