There is a Leicester accent. Whilst there is the broad East Midlands accent (akin to - say - a ‘northern accent’), each of the East Mids cities has its nuances, particularly with vowel sounds. Obvious the change is gradual as you move between towns. Leicester has a very slight West Mids tinge in certain words, whereas Derby starts to sound a tiny bit Stokey.

Other clubs angry because we played by the rules as they were written. Like, for example, Chelsea, who sold a hotel and their women’s team to themselves in order to comply with the rules as they were written.

I’m not going to comment on his transfer fee because they’re all just made up numbers these days. I can’t really tell much difference between a £30m player and a £3m player. It’s all just bollocks. As I’ve said repeatedly, a players is only ‘worth’ what the selling team is willing to accept to release him from his contract.

It’s fun to take the piss out of Forest fans for being stuck in the 70s and Coventry fans for being idiots, but I’m afraid the Leicester fans have become a bit entitled. One thing is an absolute certainty: if the Leicester crowd resorts to booing and jeering when we go one nil down to Tottenham, the only way is down.
