Could have put this in a number of threads but seeing as i'm quoting Gibbs-White here will do as lastnight he & his merrymen showed all football fans what charlatans footballers really are. After an easy win Gibbs-White comes out with the "We had a real identity out there today. We defended incredibly and created so many chances, it could've been more" this is all aimed at influences / changes Pereira has made. "His message to us is we are going to have an identity of how we play and defend as a team, we have bought into what he wants straight away." Not to go all Big Sam but get rid of the lot of them, what changes ffs he started work on Monday he had 3 days with them, they played in the exact formation & other than reverse starting roles to Jesus/Lucca the same team played lastnight as against Wolves a week prior. Pereira has changed little, he's hasn't been able to, In essence the very same players decided to put some effort in lastnight that's all. I'm no fan of Dyche but this really pee'd me off, if he said it after 7-8 games i could get onboard but to say they have a clear identity just 7 days after the last game with exactly the same players & formation & a new manager being in the building 3 days who's he trying to pull...really hope Dyche comes back with something tbh, footballers always the victims.

The so coined 'managerial bounce' generally comes from a change in renewed motivation & psyhcological boost's & not from direct tactical changes. It is the thinnest sliver of confidence that needs addressing 1st, prior to breaking out this LB & CF the forum seems to think we have been hiding all season & then adopting a tactical plan never been seen by a football player or fan in all the time football has been played.

Got a feeling he’s playing hard ball, think he (most) have us over a barrel to just come in till end of season knowing we’re getting desperate. The knock-on is that anything beyond is probably stacked in his (whoever’s) favour & I feel we are still struggling to even tie someone down just to summer 2027.

Having looked at the 4 main talking points of the Villa Newcastle game I agree officials got all 4 wrong 🤡

What contract would you give him, wage & length wise?

Still not sure why Arundell got the 1st yellow tbh As in what was the mitigating factor to give it as a yellow, yes it’s a pen give a pen he’s ruined the game being card happy so early in the game, if it was for repeat offences ok but it was the 1st penalty of the game 🤷♂️
-
Ref rather sharp with a yellow on Arundell

Why Ricardo he don’t need to, Richards should replace Mavadidi with Monga going LW

Is that another Bonnie production?

Think you need solid until things even up across the squad again
-
was going to say, not sure he’s the answer

I hear ya but that said it’s 5 academy lads, 6 including Man C’s starting, with a further 3 (4) on the bench it’s what everyone was calling for & a look to next season

Which pool of players are you picking from?

Are you mixing up the words defend & support, what is it you want those last remaining posters to write/say? Does every post now have to be doom and gloom & unless it leaves the reader feeling so low it’s not worthy of being written? Ok I’ll say it, man I really can’t stand the way the clubs been run, there and now I’ll move on…or am I still part of the problem? Life’s really to short to be angry all the time

& he gets paid for that, I’m in the wrong job. We are the worst team in the league followed by Liverpool and then West Ham it is no shock the best team in the league beats us. I can predict that this insightful journalist will say Chelsea or Man C have just smashed the worst side in the league next season also when they play Charlton, Birmingham or who ever is promoted.

regardless of the like he's insightful for the goings on in Spurs & what he says is a perfect example of why we find ourselves in this situation, despite a lot not liking it, but.....we dared to challenge & then weren't brave enough when we did get there, its as smple as that. Whilst i haven't yet seen the Lineker podcast, i imagine much the same as he talks about on the Overlap, he says within Spurs its written & talked about everywhere is the phrase 'To Dare is to Do' & yet what he has seen is the opposite of that. They finished 5th but instead of buying players that will get them 4th, & the players he wanted at that time were Neto, Mbeumo, Semenyo & Guehi they ended up with young inexperienced lads (Gray, Odobert & Bergvall) because they were cheap(er) or they were looking 3 or 4yrs down the line not for the following season. Cut to us & Rodgers, We stopped our model to have a push after tasting success of the title, Rodgers would have come in & said do you want more of the same or do you want to drop & just be content with a mid table finish. They obviously said we want to go for it so we kept our best players & rewarded to try & push on..but did the same thing happen on transfers in? I know i'm sure someone will find a line that say that every transfer had Rodgers seal of approval but do we also have a line to say how much was actually put up for transfers, is there a line to say who we were actually after but ended up with, especially in those those later years...i will die on the hill agreeing with Rodgers that the playing squad needed a refresh, regardless of how he did/didn't conduct himself after, but because he wasn't allowed to refresh it was in that moment we stopped as a club 'Daring' or in our case 'Quited'. It's all a case of stick or twist, Palace will be the next club to fall away they held on a little longer to their biggest names to earn them the FA cup & now its all falling apart, Forest will follow but due to the overspend on wages as well as the continued revolving door. Fans of 1 club are so reactionary to other clubs in bigging them up & saying how well run they are, this season its Brentford & Sunderland last few seasons it was Brighton & Palace but, & we can chuck in Fulham, is it that hard to not finish midtable if that is what you are set up to do - but where's the fun, the ambition, the point of competing if that is the only setting?

In the same Rowett ‘ambitious’ comment interview he also says “I think the next step for Leicester has to be the right step for them because you can't go from winning the Premier League to being in League One in a matter of a few seasons, that is very, very poor management…. Would someone vying & hopeful for the job be saying it’s very very poor management from the owner/DoF 🤷♂️

Granted its no Oxford v Norwich
-
Will it be a short term contract to see us through and keep us up or a 1.5 - 2.5 season contract? If longer than 15 games will Rowett / Sheehan be the right men for a promotion push to the premier Lge which will be ‘the goal’ next season, if not no point it being 1 of them / those types.

On the eye her last run looked better than Oldman’s but devils In the minute detail, shame. Felt sorry for Krumme she didn’t look confident before starting (looked like she was/had been crying) Well done for getting up and doing a few tricks getting down thou.

We don’t play WH again but have Liverpool in March, I don’t see us coming off the bottom now. The game in hand is v Arsenal so we can forget that.
