Like most of these comedy quiz shows they become a parody of themselves in a very short space of time. I know it’s been going since 2004 but it has been very samey for years. A league of their own has virtually the same script for every show, call each other pr1cks at least 4 times each, highlight that Jamie is thick & basically just do something stupid & over the top on the captains / Romesh challenge thinking it’s wild & funny…it’s not! Question of sport tried to move away from what it was in order to be comical and bust. 9 out of 10 cats does countdown will eventually go the same way, it sticks to the structure of the quiz but more and more ‘bits’ are being forced in to get a laugh but ends up falling flat.

They certainly do, over 20 seconds in our game v Rotherham but How does Ai speed up throw-ins, free kicks etc do you put criteria in that says if once ball is out and throw not taken within this set time advise ref to give a yellow card or overturn a decision or what ever? But Ai can only see things within these set parameters it can’t see that the ball has taken its time to get back to player taking the throw or if the throws delayed because someone has gone down etc etc in the same way that it can’t see why a player has reacted to something and lashed out at another player, you still need the human and dare I say common sense approach applied to decisions, Ai is yes/no which doesn’t fit all.

There’s to much whinging and ticking about refs and var, are they really that bad in the overall scheme? How many minutes are played every week, how many split decisions do they have to make in all those minutes? Yes of course there will be mistakes but it’s not in the numbers people seem to think. Every decision is highlighted to the x degree and depending on club, player, manager & official will depend on how much noise is made thereafter. Forest trying to stop an official from ever running one of their games is beyond words, if I was part of the FA I’d just say ok he was due to run x,y,z games in the schedule you don’t want him therefore you forfeit the game, pts to the opposition! Officials are well paid with the top 1s earning 200k per year but does that mean they can’t make the odd mistake, if we started highlighting ever error a player makes to the same degree papers would be inches thick asking how does a player on 200k per week (not per year) miss that open goal etc For all the worry about Ai and how it will take jobs it’s funny some think it should replace officials on most decisions to get away from that “human” element, why not just replace the players with Ai as well and be done with it. It’s just another nail being driven in to the decline of what we used to call sport and what it stood for! It used to be a day out with the kids, mates, grandparents etc and you walked away chatting amongst yourselves and by the time you got home or down the pub you’d moved on to the next part of your weekend. Now it’s all about win at all costs and if you didn’t there had to be an individual to blame & then spend the rest of the week trying to tell someone why it was their fault, it was the officials, the stadium atmosphere, ‘x’ player, managers selection, conspiracy etc etc…jeez life’s to short!

Build up to today tv has been absolutely shite on normal tv, not that there are any new series to binge on all the streaming channels. Why do they load everything together so you get a good 2 or 3 months in a year, for instance Para+ they run Yellowstone, Tulsa King and Major of Kingstown all at the same time ( that’s MofKT despite Jeremy’s accident delaying it as it’s still in line with the other 2 when the new series will be aired) When will they start making “new” classics instead of just like the music regurgitating the same old crap and even playing them (again just like music) several times in a week. ps Merry Christmas all

Smart move this rest KDH & Ndidi for Tuesday whilst giving those 2 minutes 👍

Shame Daka away in January now confidence is up and he’s getting a run of games

Think Yunus will come on but for Fatawu not a centre just because he’s on a yellow, if we lose him to a silly 1 we virtually have no chance of breaking down a 8 man wall
-
Took them 20 seconds to take that throw in just before the break, ref has to get a grip

Are you Man City are you Man City are you Man City supporters in disguise….

When will the meltdown begin if we haven’t scored inside 5mins? We needed a late goal to beat them at the start of the season since then they have earnt 6 of their 13 points must recently by beating Norwich and then drawing with Ipswich, Leeds & Southampton Please don’t think we will be winning by HT let alone by more than 1, this will be a war of attrition and it might take a while to break them down, anyone expecting (not hoping for) a comfortable 6:0 win is probably in for a shock. Team will need cheers not jeers more so today!

Agree fully with the cost and it’s part of the reason I don’t work in London as an annual 5 day a week train ticket would cost £4450 although this could be off set by London waiting if your company buys in & in-fact you’d be £2k up on the deal and probably have a higher wage also, if company doesn’t buy in then obviously that’s an expense you could do without. For me it was just the fact of doing that everyday and that work ends up becoming your life and the family’s pushed out due to start/end times in a day. i have used the train twice this week due to meetings and functions and they must have a festive eat out to help out type deal on as 1 25minute journey was only £5 return and the London journey was only £23 return normally £38 ish but yes normal cost is maddening. I think I’m more annoyed of the UK is shit and everything in it is shit approach that often appears on this forum especially when it’s used in a holiday type anecdote; I went to Italy and for the 5 days I was there travelling around the trains, buses or whatever run on time and everyone got a seat etc etc Btw this is a generic outburst not aimed at your specific comment as I know you lived/live in KOR therefore aware of how things run on a daily basis. Likewise I lived in Germany for a good 6yrs and I don’t put its network miles above the Uk, they had aging trains and delays brought on by similar issues but yes cost wise it’s very cheap in comparison but guess that’s down to government v privatisation 🤷♂️

I know you love South Korea and everything about it and often use its land mass, population and development to compare to the UK which is fine to a degree but it’s not like for like in it’s actual working. It probably is a fantastic place to live and everything runs efficiently but you can’t compare the railway in the same way, for example, the UK’s line infrastructure alone is almost 4 times the size & KOR only has approximately 638 rail stations where as the UK has 2,579 (not including underground’s) Bigger train set means bigger problems, manning it, running & maintaining it, more things to go wrong with it & ultimately funding it. Those that don’t run at all are for a multitude of reasons from signalling or engineering (breakdowns), to weather conditions, to animals / people on the line, resource issues including strike action, all pretty good reasons to cancel I’d guess. It’s old and in need of a full upgrade of course it does but as it stands 24,000 trains run everyday in the UK with just about 100% arriving within 15mins of its schedule start/finish time. The time table is pretty good considering, it’s just a bugger when your particular train is cancelled and you have to wait 30 minutes for the next available which it would be (or less) from a major city & not just London. Not everything can be picked up and simply stated this orange looks roughly like this orange so we’ll use them to compare. (Disclaimer stats from Wiki I don’t work for NR 😊)

Having to wait for the 30second sky sports advert every time you click on a video link on the SS app, surely once is enough if you don’t leave the app or at least reduce it to 10 seconds after the 1st time if you must show it every time & the fact it’s the same bloody ad!

Klopp going all Maximus Decimus Meridius on his own fans 😂 Talking of managers it must be the easiest gig ever, get sacked and just fall into another top job, Nuno 4 clubs in 3yrs & Cooper already odds on to take the Palace job.
-
We should let it go and break itself, the short term riches will be huge for owners & broadcasters but once the fans see they don’t really gain anything, get bored of the same teams, unable to afford the constant flights to watch their team, Sky start to lose subs, etc etc we should absolutely not allow them to fall straight back into the English top tier. They will start with all the so called Mouthwatering prospects of watching Man C v R Madrid type fixtures every weekend but before you know it it’ll be like that snooze fest of Liverpool v Man U last week and you’ll have to fork out £400 for a flight and £200 for a ticket to watch it in Dubai or some such place, no thank you but good luck to them.

Yeah I think it’s probably a misunderstanding, I don’t deny the actual results, we are winning and by better margins than most but i’m actually getting at that we are not comfortable in a game even when leading and it looks like we need 3 goals to put a game to bed….if teams really put us under the cosh and lump balls into the box etc the defence “looks” vulnerable Im not saying it “is” vulnerable because results say it’s not… This then brings me to Vestergaard and I will put my hands up and say he is doing the offensive side better than I thought he would but his defending is still ropey and in my eyes not worthy of a new contract because he flaps when pressed against championship sides, it will be mayhem in the premier Lge, he is getting away with it due to opposition.
-
@Nod.E @Les-TA-Jon considering the opposition do I say case rested on the 3 goals 🤷♂️ Also my thing on him personally people are arguing he is the most improved player now Rodgers has gone but it’s not his defending that comes to the fore, he is still a bang average defender!
