I know you are frustrated about Alves but all the lines up would decided before this week and training would have been built around it. Alves would have got a good run out last Tuesday without the rain.

The season we stayed up under O'Neil for first time in the PL we lost too Kettering, PAOK and Dundee Utd. However we did manage to beat the mighty Shepshed Dymano, Penzance and Torpoint Athletic. We were always going have a tough season, but friendlies mean nothing.

Because we probably don't have the money to buy a host of players. We probably need 2 x ACM and a Back up winger and a Foward. We probably can't afford 4 players, so having 1 who can play two roles is helpful.

Have ran some sums over the summer, best on some assumptions. (Yes I'm that sad), I think we are we have some decent head room wages and amortisation wise). I just think we aren't that attractive, it'd hard work to convince players to come without over paying on fees and wages. I'd rather go as we are than buy a load of average dead wood.

Got a funny feeling we will do OK. Cooper has been here before, he's managed to keep a very poor Forest squad up. I think we have a decent squad that just needs a few quality additions. I also feel a few unexpected teams are going to struggled.

@StriderHiryu Not sure how accurate that is for the 22/23 accounts our wage bill was around 206m, but that was for a 13 month reporting period. So for a 12 month period they would have been around 190m To get down to 52m you are looking at 70% reduction since the last accounts, I think that's unlikely.
