Who do you want for next season in the PL
coolhandfox replied to Fightforever's topic in Transfer Talk
Maybe a combination of us being a little more careful with fees and wages after being burnt and being slight less appealing due to the backdrop of a point deduction. I always think the is uncertain in the market due to PSR across the board, and other changes in the financial landscape. -
I don't think we have enough join up thinking across the two clubs both could benefit more from being sister clubs.

We have a decent amount of head room by my calculations, our amortisation has dropped to around 36m this summer from a high of 78m two seasons ago even with our summer additions. Wages will be sufficiently lower too, I don't see PSR as a massive blocker this summer. I think it's more one eye on the impact of swift return to the championship. -
Not sure it any less viable than a Winks and Ndidi double pivot.

Which probably is his level.

I suspect we are looking for at least 2-3 players the movement. I would also imagine Liverpool and Arsenal are looking for 30-40m for their respective players. We more then likely want two for that amount -

Seems people aren't able to get their head around general business principles. Director of finance works with parts of a organisation to agree budgets, which is then signed off for the by the board. Rudkin would have been working to the budget agreed by the board. -

No really buying the Tanner explanation sound to me like his thinking of Transfer income vs expenditure i.e. money in money out. From a PSR point of view area on on a new 3 year cycle of 22/23 - 23/24- 24/25 I think we have around 40m- 60m head room on the PSR calculation even after we brought Fatawu and Okoli. -

Not strictly true 17 goal contributions in 3563 one every 209 minutes, so roughly 1 every 2.32 games PL wise goal 12 goal contributions in 2465 one every 205 minutes. So not that shabby! -

They wouldn't be wheeling him out with an ACL

21m in pounds, we are desperate to strengthen so I wouldn't bet against it.

According to Rob Tanner in the Athletic last month: Part of the reason the move collapsed was because an ankle issue showed up during the 28-year-old midfielder’s medical, and LCFC wanted to add an injury clause to the terms in case the problem worsened. I think it had more to do with the club's failure to agree on terms rather than with our lack of money.

I stopped reading at the point where it mentioned the Mercury.

That wasn't the reason

I don't mind an obligation as long as it has caveats, i.e. only activated if we stay up and he made 30 apps.

What are your expectations for next season?

I think we have more in the defence side from a PL standard. But I agree they nick it on attacking side but can all change we some decent signings.
