  1. I'm just sick of it to be honest. Ironically, it is the insane match ticket prices that is putting me off ditching my season ticket. They've trapped me in their web of greed and incompetence.
  2. People affected by gambling addiction probably care.
  3. Also, not a chance I'd touch Casadei. He looked lost in the Championship and it's rumoured that he had an influence in returning to Chelsea in January.
  4. How do these swap deals help PSR? We've gone from a world of very rare swap deals, to a transfer window made up of almost entirely swap deals. Presumably it wouldn't actually be a swap deal, but separate deals so that the full value can be used for the KDH sale?

    Jakub Moder

A lot of conclusion jumping in this thread. No one knows the details yet. Moder might be very cheap and worth the punt if he can stay fit. No one is claiming that he will be a direct replacement for KDH.

    New Kit

You either release it at the end of the season or you wait until pre-season. It would make no commercial sense to release it in the middle of the summer break when the Euros is on.
  7. The Premier League don’t decide the punishment, so there will no softening because of a few legal threats.
  8. It’s also noticeable that in Maresca’s first interview he spent most of it explaining how he wants the team to play and what his footballing philosophy is. Day one and he was selling “the idea”. Cooper didn’t really go into detail about, which may suggest that he’ll be quite flexible, which is something we all called for last season and something we absolutely need if we are going to stay up.
  9. Came across well, but my god those questions were terrible. Pretty much all of them were a theme on “This is an amazing club, how happy are you to be here?”. Looking forward to him being interviewed by someone not in-house where he might get asked to elaborate on how’ll he’ll approach things tactically and what exactly is this way of playing that he thinks Leicester fans like.
  10. Absolute nonsense. He does wear chinos, look..
  11. Underwhelmed. I think he’s got his qualities, but I can’t look past his negative tactics at Forest. We need more pragmatism next season, but this feels totally at odds with everything we’ve been building over the last year. I think my main frustration is that it’s another peek behind the curtain of a club where nothing adds up. There’s zero joined up thinking. I think he may be good at creating a siege mentality, but it just reeks of an appointment that will underwhelm and then get thrown under the bus by the people that are the real problem.
  12. My point is that it was an underwhelming appointment and it proved to be an underwhelming period.
  13. Ah yes, roaring success he was.
  14. People saying this reminds them of when we appointed Ranieri, it reminds me more of when we appointed Puel…
  15. Apparently we have a clear vision, but in just over a year we have appointed, or very nearly appointed: - Jesse Marsch - Rafa Benetiz - Dean Smith - Enzo Maresca - Graham Potter - Steve Cooper You'd struggle to get a more eclectic mix of football philosophies. It's a scattergun approach. Top wants us to play like Man City and god knows what Rudkin wants. It's why our recruitment so often doesn't match the system or style that we are using at that time.
  16. https://www.theguardian.com/football/article/2024/jun/19/eicester-manager-talks-steve-cooper-graham-potter Steinberg in the Guardian, who was saying Potter was close last night, now saying it'll be Cooper.
  17. Turns out Potter isn't the Chosen One.
  18. I really like Corberan but Potter feels a safer bet due to his experience in the Premier League.
  19. Decent first few fixtures, but it's hard to know whether that run-in is good or bad. The March and April fixtures preceding it are horrific and the pressure could really be on going into those final 5 matches against potential relegation rivals. Luckily, we have a rich history of dealing with intense pressure in the final few weeks...
  20. Keep reading this, but what’s it based on other that they are English and have long faces?
  21. Just a bat shit crazy decision no matter how you dress it up. High chance that he’ll be too slow for the PL and a high chance that he won’t suit the new managers system as much as he did Maresca’s.
  22. With Huddersfield in the Championship he kept them up and then got them within a dodgy VAR decision of the Premier League by playing predominately pragmatic, counter attacking football. It’s true that his idealistic style is Guardiola inspired, but unlike Maresca he is willing to be flexible and adaptable depending on the situation.
  23. Re-signing Vestergaard regardless is a crazy decision.
  24. That’s a massive overreaction. He has the profile that could suit our predicament next season. First and foremost we need a manager that can galvanise and motivate. He’d have no problem with that part of the job.
  25. Corberán would be a good choice. He has the right pragmatism and motivational skills to suit a team fighting relegation.
