  1. I'm a massive fan of shirts without sponsors. Hope it stays that way
  2. How bloody dare you...
  3. Smart signing for Ipswich imho. Approaching his peak and only £9m - decent business. Think he'll do okay in the Prem.
  4. He's not had much of a chance to show what he's capable of, but my perception of him from what I have seen is that he's decent technically and a good finisher, but he's pretty immobile. Lacks a bit of pace and movement. You have to be exceptionally good in other areas to be Premier League striker if you lack those fundamentals imho. My gut feeling is that he'd struggle in the PL
  5. I really don't think Cooper gets much of a say in who comes in and who leaves. Listen to his post-match interviews, he's as frustrated as the rest of us.
  6. I think we know that he'll be going absolutely nowhere already, mate. He should have gone ages ago. He's absolute Teflon.
  7. In his post-match interview, Cooper said that the players themselves really want to see other players coming in because 'they've played in both leagues and know the difference in the level'. He was basically admitting that everyone's confidence is low already. That's not on him tbf
  8. 2. Both in the last 10 minutes. I honestly think this could be an absolute hiding. 0-4 Spurs.
  9. I don't disagree, but are Rudkin and Top not largely responsible for the state we're in?
  10. Words cannot express how I much I loathe this guy and how much I resent Top for enabling him.
  11. Until Rudkin and probably Top are gone, we're ****ed. They quite clearly do not know what they're doing. Cooper is exasperated already and doesn't even know which players we're targeting.
  12. He seems a good bloke, but he's a poor fit for us, and not just because he's ex-Forest. The problem is the leadership at the club, though. Says a lot that Potter was willing to join us on the condition he was allowed to bring his own people in.....and the board chose mediocrity and maintaining the status quo. No doubt they realised that appointing someone competent above Potter would reflect badly on them, so they chose Cooper and put themselves first before the club. Rudkin and co are absolute poison and Top is just letting the club rot
  13. You're absolutely correct, "left-sided" would be a better description.
  14. So he's been signed because he's left-footed...was that literally the only criteria?
  15. I don't dislike the guy, I just think it was an odd choice as his style was so different to Enzo's. A weak squad learning an unfamiliar style in a new league seems like a bit of a recipe for disaster. I really hope I'm wrong. I would add that selling KDH and (so far) not replacing him is a killer. Almost doesn't matter who the manager is, that midfield is going to be destroyed in the Premier League
  16. It was a weird choice, but this is a bit mad, even by FT standards.
  17. Could see Zaha being used as a centre forward
  18. A risk worth taking imho. He might look a bit sulky on pitch, but he seems a good professional does he not? IF we do pull this off, I think the fans will end up loving him.
  19. As soon as I saw the Palace link, that was my thought, too. Hopefully not
  20. Yes, please. Quality player.
  21. Hilarious how they keep stockpiling players in positions they absolutely do not need while failing to even bid for the top class striker they've needed for nearly 3 years.
  22. Good on him. More young BRITISH players should do it.
  23. You can see why Trey Nyoni left for Liverpool. He's actually been getting opportunities there (albeit in pre-season). If he'd still been here he'd have likely been held back, like Nelson, Alves and Braybrooke. Everyone's furious he left for Liverpool, but you could argue he's done exactly the right thing for his career by going to a club who will actually give him the chance to play. The treatment of talented youngsters has been really poor imho. A season in the Championship was an ideal opportunity to blood a few.
  24. I've thought for a while that the club have already accepted the likelihood that we'll go straight back down and are taking as few financial risks as possible (in terms of recruitment). Could make for a very grim season
  25. I'll be very surprised if there are 3 weaker teams than our's this season. I just can't see where the goals are going to come from.
