  1. And now that has ruined your day. Angry @Mickyblueeyestoday! Everybody hide!
  2. Why not try McAteer as a striker? He has bags of energy and has a great work ethic. He'll press from the front. Maybe doesn't have the footballing intelligence, but at least he plays like he cares. Mav/Monga and fats on the wings screams pace. I don't know, we need to try something. But I fear another Preston performance, but Charlton have the positivity from promotion which is a powerful thing. I think we'll lose again but this time see players with even less enthusiasm. 2-0 And we thought the opening fixtures were kind to us
  3. In my insomnia thought churning state, I've been thinking about Top and a pattern of what is happening. Could it be that Top is really miffed and 'hurt' by the anti board chants last season and is now thrown his toys out the pram and decided to neglect us? Let us sell our big players and just do the bare minimum with as little investment as possible and then put us up for sale? The players know this so don't give a hoot about playing so they are doing the bare minimum as well. Problem is the level of incompetence from the board last season with the choice of manager, the signings and the previous wages are the reason we are hear and the fans unhappy. If he had sorted it out after the first relegation, and made sweeping changes to the footballing side, then we would probably be in a stronger position. I just cant see us getting any better. The whole club is in a negative spiral and the only way I can see any amount of change is if he sells. Massive gamble, but one we need to do. Look at Leeds, look at Brum. See how a change can be such a good thing. We need change, and a whole raft of it. If not, we'll be a mid table forgotten championship team or possibly worse.
  4. We have to accept that we are not getting anyone in. To not even bring in a loan player by now shows me that Top has stop caring and just doing the minimum to keep us ticking over. So the money raised isn't going to do anything.
  5. Ayew's contract expires next summer, so itll just Faes. Which is probably more depressing
  6. It'll be a decent move for him. However, surely they don't see him as a direct replacement for Eze? I see them as different types of players.
  7. Ballet.
  8. Personally, watching @StriderHiryu analysis, it seems that there is a plan, there is a structure with Marti. But he's dealing with selfish bozos and grumpy babies, so the execution is poor. I might be wrong, but I can see what he's trying to do. We desperately need new blood for this to work.
  9. There are ways to manage a club.... There's a right way, a wrong way and then there's a the Rudkin way.
  10. People calling him average...what are you on? He's is by far are most creative player who is still young. The improvement he showed last season was impressive. He's got room to improve and Crystal palace might be a sensible move for him. Don't be bitter at him leaving, it was always going to happen He is not average...end of
  11. I really don't care about this Muppet. He's gone to his dream club with social media and documentaries FC Close thread.
  12. Football is all about paper pushing and not decided on the pitch. Football is dying and its getting worse. The enjoyment being sucked out of it because of money.
  13. What a ridiculous statement. Give the supporters something to get behind. Seeing players do a job they are over paid for not perform or perform half-heartedly is heartbreaking and frustrating. Seeing players cup their ears to fans rather than encouraging them to make noise is not a way to endure yourself to fans. I fully back Marti, but not players that are not wanting to play for the club. Show effort, show passion and we'll back you. Show distain, we'll show our frustration. Pathetic statement written by someone who is not seeing the whole picture.
  14. I agree, I think we have to accept we're a championship side now. I can't see us getting promoted. On paper we have a strong side in this league. In reality we've got a lot of half arsed, want away snowflakes that want us to cheer and support yet don't want to put the effort in. Cheers Rudders and co, you have put our club back decades you clown
  15. Bamford is going to turn up here, isn't he?
  16. That, sir is an automatic ban!! Mods
  17. It's too late for that. All the good loans will be gone by the time we get tour act together and as with the freebies. This club is ran so poorly
  18. I wouldn't say enthusiastic, more on edge or on something . It looks to me like has had one too many energy drinks before the game and his body can't cope with it. He's no Vards in that respect. Odd bloke. That said... Charlton 2 - 0 Leicester
  19. When fans have seen such a rapid decline, but no one at the club taking responsibility or being pro active, of course there's going to be frustration. When fans have seen inept managers appointed last season, seen a team fail to score for months, frustrations will be shown. If you see the inept people offer high wages to average players who then don't even perform or shown passion..for a number of seasons, frustrations will be there. If you see players with bad attitudes and the same players that were responsible for 2 relegations is that cause for support? Show desire, commitment, have a club that communicates, see a club wanting to improve, wanting to make changes for the better and fans will support and get behind the club because they can see what is happening. We don't have any of that. Fans don't support a club because they expect the best players. They just want players that care, that show commitment, desire to play. We have little of that and the ones that do are being dragged down by the grumpy bums. The club is fractured, they've tried to paint over the cracks with Enzo and the last promotion, but sadly the foundations were already unstable. If we had seen significant change after the last relegation (new board members and/or DoF) then we might be in a better position now. The toxic atmosphere has been created due to lack of change, lack of the evolving and, as Nigel would say, being an ostrich. Fans on the whole haven't been (some exceptions of course). They have seen a club in the semi final of a European competition to losing to a mediocre championship team in Preston. It is a catch 22, but the players need to stop acting like snowflakes, accept there will be criticism and try to change it. At the moment, the club is too fractured and I don't see how or when this will change. If the club believes that this group of players have the right attitude to push for promotion after a fire sale, then they haven't learnt a thing and the ineptitude will take us even lower. How low that is worries me.
  20. That is true. It's just a shame he has a touch like a drunk Sunday league player, nor does he have the intelligence to play in the position. He just isn't suited the type of striker Marti wants/needs in his system
  21. Exactly this! Even it's loans this season some positive attitude is needed injected in this squad to start our season.
  22. Who is Ayew's replacement? 1 goal every 5 months Daka?
  23. That comes down to poor recruitment. Pearson was obsessed with personality as well as talent, and that was a major factor in our title winning season and why Pearson is much loved and respected here. He built a dressing room to be proud of with players that wanted to prove a point, determined and with a mix of grit. Pearson would be a great DoF if it wasn't for his illness.
  24. He has a poisoned dressing room, that is clear to see. I like Marti and he does have a set way of playing, but when you have a set of spoilt, grumpy brats around it beings the mood down in the people and that is obvious to see. This isn't a one transfer window fix, not is it a one season fix. It's a slow process to get rid of that attitude. Pearson did it, so it is possible, Marti needs to be stronger. We are a broken club and Rudkin is the man that has caused it. The rot is deep, the rot is getting deeper.
