  1. I can't buy the 1st July sacking, that puts us 4 weeks out from the start of the season. My biggest concern is that he's not going anywhere.
  2. Where's this 'shape the future' tagline come from?
  3. Liam Manning for me, still likes his team to have a lot of the ball but will want us to go and press. Has been working on developing as a coach since his playing days were done at Ipswich and has spent a lot of time working within youth development. He hasn't achieved anything as such with regards to promotion but I feel like he's worth the chance with where we are. As others have said in other threads, if it does take us a few years let's build some foundations.
  4. I agree but I'd also love for us to bring Liam Manning in here which definitely doesn't happen if they go up. It most likely doesn't anyway but still.
  5. Cannon with the equaliser and a Vardyesque shithouse celebration, come on United!!!
  6. I wouldn't let it concern you, far bigger issues at play than a referee decision that wasn't even that questionable.
  7. What I mean to say is I don't place it as a sole factor for relegation, I think there are far bigger issues within the club that need addressing, many of which would in turn improve recruitment moving forwards.
  8. I won't get into a debate on it but I don't think the player recruitment was as horrendous as people make out, I do think the succession planning of managers has been a disaster and a massive contributing factor.
  9. In his post match interview, they asked if the gap between the champ and the Prem was too large, he responded along the lines off no it's not but what doesn't help is how the club prepares and sets up for the season, says he can talk about it all day but they finished the interview. Sounded like a man who had a lot more to say.
  10. Coady calling the club out, Sky ignore it, what's it going to take FFS.
  11. Sky avoiding the plane banner and the one put up by UFS at the end but very quick to show the Liverpool one in their end. It sums it up that my mates in the WhatsApp group think I should be outraged at a disallowed goal today but laugh that I'm more pissed off with the running of our club.
  12. What? I think it would have been far dodgier if they wiped off a perfectly legitimate goal because our clumsy keeper clattered our defender.
  13. Stephy gonna show Trent up, he'll be lucky to get a move to Real Murcia after the next 20mins.
  14. Fck me, Facundo looks like he's aged 10 years across this season. Black rings around his eyes and the weight of the world on those shoulders, it'll be alright lad you'll be back on the south coast in a few months.
  15. Neville suggesting Liverpool keep targeting our left as they sense vulnerability between Coady and Thomas, shows how thick Scousers are, if they want to score all they have to do is walk the ball down the middle.
  16. Cheers mate I've been flying recently and back to back days haven't been an issue, but the running and gym load has definitely crept up the past 2-3 weeks so might be that.
  17. You just know Monga isn't coming on until there's 10 mins to go where he will replace Stephy as Bobby stays on to see the game out.
  18. I don't know what has hit me, but it's put me on my arse. I did 18k across Wednesday and Thursday, today I don't think I'd get 500m without needing to stop to get my breath.
  19. In 10 years when Mo Salah is asked who is the toughest opponent he came up against? the world will be puzzled by the answer of Luke Thomas at Leicester.
  20. Luke and Stephy bright sparks so far.
  21. 10 years on from when I visited, had some big holidays since but I think my week in Cavtat tops the lot.
  22. Mock Barnsley 10k today with a group from my gym. I ran it in 3 stages, comfortable over the first 5k which was largely downhill, put my foot down but at a pace I could manage for 3k back up hill, and then the final 2k at threshold. Honestly don't think I've ever felt as strong or enjoyed my running as much as I am at the moment.
  23. Norwich the prime example of a team who overplays, Burnley were more than happy to sit in and watch them play it around without actually progressing the ball
