  1. He's one to stay well clear of, unfortunately he would be well on brand for our circus.
  2. Sheffield half done, 1:50:25 on the watch, 1:51:33 on the chip, that hill can get fcked.
  3. I imagine having Roy Hodgson as your manager would be like watching Winnie the Pooh potter out on to the pitch to take training, quite a beloved, gentle, happy to please character. It's not who I would want leading me.
  4. Said it at the start of the season, hes a very strange character who makes some very strange decisions without much appreciation for others.
  5. Wakefield 10k, ran it pretty comfortably not going for a PB and ended up getting one on both chip (46:16) and watch (45:52), felt really good and didn't have to try and put any pace down. I then had the pleasure of 19k home which wasn't a joy and ended up being one of the toughest things I have done as I was hitting hills towards the end. Sheffield half next week and Manchester marathon in 5 weeks.
  6. I think the whole thing is massively frustrating and unimaginative. Our formation and style of play never changes, regardless of who is in charge. You feel even if we ended up with an Alardyce type manager we would be 4-2-3-1 and persist with slow, tepid football from the back.
  7. Mad that he's the same player who had the loan stint at Sheffield United last season. I watched him most weeks there and he was one of their most dependable players across that second half of the season. Good on the ball and defensively solid. What version do we have here?
  8. My only thought process for giving him minutes would be for his physical presence and the opportunity to build some form of confidence to pose a threat to the opposition goal. I know Aribo is the more experienced player, but he's not going to provide any real contribution to goals/assists when we potentially need him too later in the season. I'd rather us give players like Richards 10-15 minutes now incase we lose someone like Fatawu/Mav at any point.
  9. You can get the yellow tram from the city centre (5 min walk) to near enough right outside the ground. Or the blue tram out the back of the station to Hillsborough interchange. Equally the bus terminal is across the main road from the station. Not sure if there are any away fan measures for the tram on match days, but I doubt you'd have issue.
  10. Wouldn't mind seeing someone from one of the lesser footballing nations leaving a nasty challenge on Olmo and Yamal at the WC.
  11. The shot from outside the area was typical Patson, it tickled me, which is funnily enough what he did to the ball!
  12. A f***ing light show, we are an embarrassment.
  13. Congratulations on your Spunktrumpet record
  14. 26k for me, legs are feeling OK, a lot better than previous long runs. Had a bloke who must have been at least 15 years my senior go flying past me at around 10k on a steep incline. Told myself it's fine, he's probably just out for a 5k effort, run your own run. Checked Strava when I got back, he went past me at a couple of k from finishing a 37k run, fair ****ing play
  15. Looks like a bloke who has zero confidence in himself and his team mates, the cockiness and swagger has fully gone and he just doesnt look like he knows how to have any impact.
  16. https://x.com/i/status/2029225563206922435 It has become such a data driven game. I was at a conference a few years ago where the coach explained that the chance of scoring leaving one man up was so statistically low, you would need to leave two men up for it to be viable. However, leaving 2 players up impacts the chance that you are likely to concede more significantly. I remember thinking at the time surely the more men you leave up the more the opposition will keep back to defend so it would balance out. I think I remember seeing Kidderminster left 4 up at a corner last weekend, thats the kind of craziness I want to see in the game.
  17. 24km yesterday, pacing all over the place. Let my ego get the better of me when coming across other runners and paid for it later on, was ready to pull up at 18km and call for a lift home. Ended up just thinking about getting the half done, then get to the crossroads, then the next street etc, before I knew it i was home and falling through the front door. Lots of work to do but enjoying the process.
  18. If that was Cov or Forest going down in that manner and we had sent them down we would be laying into their fans and would want our players doing the same. I have no problem with watching that from Sheff Utd players.
  19. Excellent podcast, the Petr Cech, Marseille cheif exec and the bloke from Swansea episodes are very good!
  20. I have been told previously by one of Martins coaching staff that he was Tops choice pre Enzo, Rudkin and those at the club didnt want him and identied Enzo and that was the deal that was done. He was then contacted pre-RVN being sacked and was offered the job, seemingly by Top as one of his requests was that he wouldnt work under Rudkin, so that got pulled. I take everything with a pinch of salt as the individual who passed this on really doesnt like JR. I do beleive though he has been put into a position where he wheels the power more than he should be able to do so. It does seem that those previously appointed end up frustrated under the clubs leadership. If we do have someone lined up and we are struggling to recruit a caretaker, that does make sense but also shows just how poorly ran we really are. Would said individual still want the job when we are likely to be a L1 club.
  21. Because they wont recognise it as them having done anything wrong, rather they will address how the regulations stifle ambition and how they were unfailry punisbed by a PL and EFL witch hunt, and a number of fans and those in the media will lap that up. Luckily we seem to have more reporters becoming wise to our ownership now and when it happens they will turn on the heat.
  22. You dont have to worry about RM, he will not work under Rudkin.
  23. I would love something like this, the comments you seem from other fans around us makes out like our fans are complicit in the clubs activities while many have recognised these issues for far too long and nothing has been done. The ongoing PSR issues, BC game, the supposed K gambling sponsor that was buried last minute. Our leadership are as crooked as they come, banners like these would send a real message.
