  1. I dont think this lack of managerial appointment will be a financial related issue. I imagine we are still trying to push this heavily possession based style at all costs ruling the likes of Rowett out or them ruling themselves out because what we are asking isnt within their philosophy, i.e Cooper trying to enforce the possession based approach. I also dont agree people wont want the role. While everything around us is seemingly toxic, there will be plenty who will have that self belief they can be the ones to turn it around, despite what the evidence says. The issue you will have is once they actually sit in front of our esteemed leadership, will they still want to work under them? And if they do, does their face fit for how the club wants them to play and coach this side?
  2. 20k ticked off on this mornings Manchestee marathon prep, enjoying it far more than i thought I would. Fuelling on the move is an art i need to master, trying to take a gel on and ended squeezing the sachet as i was breaving out, and then inhaled a full leo lion (knock off percy pig) causing me to cough and splutter everywhere. For anyone whos done half-marathon distances, at what point do you consider needing fluids? Ill be honest I havent felt the need for them yet, but aware with my heavy sweat rate and being a high sodium sweater I probably need to consider.
  3. With our own situation, Sheff Wed, Forest across this season, Ratcliffe, and others across the season, leadership in football is f**ked!
  4. Ill be honest i havent seen any indication of anything remotely reliable arouns our interests. If we were rumoured/linked with him, Id be massively underwhelmed. His job for Wolves last season was hardly inspiring considering it coincided with 3 of the worst relegated sides the PL has seen and he managed 2 points from 10 games this season.
  5. Vitor Pereira supposedly, if you were a Forest fan, youd be spitting feathers.
  6. The lack of succession planning for any role is massively concerning, taking into account we are also hiring a new CEO, technical director and commercial director and there has been no movement on any front.
  7. He only goes if he feels like he/his family have been disrespected and doesnt want ties with the club. His own self arrogance will always be immune to results on and off the field and the protests that are to come.
  8. Massive difference when your players have intent to go forward.
  9. My only hope around Martin is that we have messed him around twice already, surely hes got enough about himself to tell Top and Rudkin to job on if they try for a third time.
  10. Its become like that because of the £££ that flows through it. When theres so much money at stake in every area of the game, the pressure is there to ensure every decision is correct. Its also why you have to laugh when you will have Sky and their commentators/pundits drumming up and stirring the outrage pot, they live for the money in the game. As Finnegan says, you cant just ignore the laws and go for what people are calling common sense. Can you imagine the stories Sky and the like would run with then when you have the match officials ignoring laws, the potential implications down the line. It is just a manufactured short term controversy, instead of something which could actually be controversial down the line.
  11. You would think so but then i think they kick off about the Haaland pull as they were then. If your Sunderland and he pops up and scores against you in the week your going mad! Its a shit ending but i can see why they have to do it properly. Lets be honest, the technology and laws suffocate it.
  12. You cant by the laws of the game, as poor as it is, can you imagine if you dont go by the laws with Liverpool, they will be all over it.
  13. I think you have to go back and send Szobazlai off, give City the freekick.
  14. This is the biggest point since we gave Marti the boot, so hard to judge where we actually are without him in charge due to the two brain dead moments from Okoli and BDCR.
  15. What a goal, what a run, that high behind angle showing him from the halfway line is brilliant.
  16. And Richards was the bloke?
  17. The Will of The Many by James Islington, haven't enjoyed a book this much in a while. Got to the point the other day I was cramming pages in between Teams calls.
  18. Largely many had left by the full time whistle, a round of boos, Kingy got some applause but rushed off down the tunnel, players did their usual parade, a number of those clapped, others didnt really acknowledge them.
  19. Hard to make an impact when your down a man but he did just that, fronted up, has to move ahead of others.
  20. Its a different game without one clown at the back making a braindead decision after 15 mins, and the one up top taking the pi$$ from the pen spot. Dont get me wrong we're in the shit, but this wasn't the game that defines that.
  21. as toxic as our club is, this forum isnt far off it!
  22. The Talksport commentator, Andrew Bridge? Was laying into the club at the start of the game. Mentioning Top was present for the 2nd consecutive week running, having only attended twice this season previously. Described us as rudderless, no CEO, commercial director, sporting director, and manager and clearly no strategy. When they they discussed playing squad he said Leicester fans wince at the sight of Ayew leading the line and then went on to mention his dreadful scoring record, then mentioned Daka as an alternative who offers next to nothing. Seemingly the heat is being turned on to Top.
  23. Thats my plan, not going to even consider anything time related, just build my distances in training and finish the race, all injury free is the aim. Whatever comes after that is a bonus. Makes me laugh, my longest continuous run to date was 17k, I signed up to sheffield half as my big running challenge for this year, now 3 weeks after that Ill be doing a full Marathon.
  24. So having never won anything, today I have only gone and found out Ive won a spot in the Manchester Marathon. I have 11 weeks to get ready, my mate who encouraged me to enter the competition is on week 9 of his prep. My weekly load is at 25k, Ive got some work to do
  25. Theres an acceptable level of vulnerability in leadership where you acknowledge that you have made mistakes and then you ensure you thoroughly evaluate what happened and dont make the same mistakes again. We have no accountability and no startegic thinking, just misguided trust that those who once got it right will somehow get it right again.
