  1. 10 years on from when I visited, had some big holidays since but I think my week in Cavtat tops the lot.
  2. Mock Barnsley 10k today with a group from my gym. I ran it in 3 stages, comfortable over the first 5k which was largely downhill, put my foot down but at a pace I could manage for 3k back up hill, and then the final 2k at threshold. Honestly don't think I've ever felt as strong or enjoyed my running as much as I am at the moment.
  3. Norwich the prime example of a team who overplays, Burnley were more than happy to sit in and watch them play it around without actually progressing the ball
  4. Is it me or is everyone in Oxford QPR either on the floor or limping?
  5. Absolute shite week for a Leicester/Sheff Utd household based on the boarder of Leeds. Horrible lot.
  6. Money bags Birmingham confirm their place in the Champ for next season, no doubt with half an eye of a double promotion.
  7. Some form of rendition of 'straight back down Leicester city, playing football the king power way' would be relatively suitable being that they jumped all over the 'straight back up' chant this time last year.
  8. Doesn't look like it, his row looks completely empty.
  9. All staff and youth team players have been paid, supposedly just the first team players
  10. He's pretty much nailed on to leave Wednesday after the last week there, so Southampton would not be a surprise considering their links to him previously.
  11. Unfortunately he was under serious consideration before Enzo even spending time meeting with Top directly before being appointed to Southampton. It's clear our club are infatuated with this style of play, and they have been admiring him for a while. Will that have changed over the past few seasons? you'd like to think so, but let's be real, he's likely a serious contender.
  12. It's alright for Neville to rant about how micromanaged and robotic PL football has become, but he and his colleagues at Sky have contributed to this for years with their obsession over the big 6, Pep, and everything else that is wrong with the game. You can't have it both ways.
  13. Reading Hail Mary by Andy Weir which I'm enjoying after slogging through The Reformatory which I was pretty bemused by the rave reviews it received.
  14. Someone suggested in another thread that Luton have bombed it because of their squad and some of their signings since getting relegated but I can't say I buy it, these players shouldn't be in a relegation threatened side. Injuries could well be a contributing factor they've got some. Great goal!
  15. Fair play to him and those at the top of the club, I never thought I'd lose interest but I'm there. It's not even that we're horrendous, being bad I can live with, we've been through it. Its that no-one seems to give a sh*t or acknowledge that anything is even wrong. The unchanged teams, the lack of intent to do anything positive on the ball, the refusal to acknowledge we have talented youth players who are well beyond deserving of a chance, the constant tone deaf posts from a social media team, the appeared content to partner with questionable online gambling and gaming companies that scam people out of their hard earned cash, all while a bunch of clowns at our club do the same to the fan base and everyone is fine with it. For years me and my Mrs have argued on whether the kids will go to Leicester with me or Sheffield United with her on Saturdays, this club can sadly f**k off.
  16. Cooper was the wrong choice, but it was clear he tried to set us up to get something with a squad that offers nothing. People were quick to jump on the fact the players turned on him but I think it's another example of just how rotten this squad is, rather than any indication of his man management.
  17. I said it earlier in the season but we need something that ultimately embarrasses the whole club and shows it for what it is. There's people within the club who are operating with a false sense of positivity and lofty amount of security considering what's happened over the past two years, the only way something changes is if we end up in a position that gains a lot of attention, hurts egos and gives those responsible nowhere to hide.
  18. You don't want to lose big challenges from the game but he knows full well what he's doing with that follow through. How they haven't over turned that!
  19. I would imagine, just like here, there's complacency embedded throughout the club. This is the same manager and a not to dissimilar playing squad that folded last season. I've said it before on this thread that players like Ampadu, Rodon, Struijk and James get such high praise from commentators and pundits a-like but they always fail to deliver when it matters for their club and fans. It obviously doesn't help when you have Meslier who can be sublime or throw one in every few weeks.
  20. So he's signing for the Saints?
  21. There was a thread off of twitter or their forum posted on here not long ago slating him. He was very good tonight!
  22. It's mad the stick he gets from Sheffield United fans for not being tidy on the ball, the work he does off it for them has been invaluable for them over his recent appearances. He is everywhere for them, just needs to be able to pass it 5 yards when he's got it back.
  23. Hamza was celebrating before it even got past the keeper
  24. I don't know much about the injury to be honest but I imagine like with most overuse injuries, regular strength training through the knee and hip would go a long way. If you could find yourself a physio who has a sporting background over more of a clinical background that would potentially help, I imagine there's some simple isometric exercises you could do at home but it would be getting someone who knows what particularly you need
  25. I agree around the style of play but it's clear that the club has an obsession with the style they want and will (try to) hire a manager to implement it. He was merely a symptom, rather than the problem. Enzos football for me is everything wrong with the modern game but when we have clubs like ours, Southampton, Chelsea, Man City etc they aren't going to change. As is the common theme around here, if we want change, it needs to start with higher up.
