  1. I can imagine that our next manager will be the bloke who met with Top prior to Marescas appointment, has a championship promotion on his CV, escaped having a premier league relegation on it and is currently out of work.
  2. The dream is dead, long live the dream.
  3. We quit the best part of three years ago, it has been passive dross ever since.
  4. So last night it finally happened, a few of the older boys in the run club decided that they were leaving the fast group to move to create a moderate paced group. Cue me, halfway through a hilly 12k realising just how fast some of the other lads are. My average pace went from 5:45/km to 5:15/km, which is manageable but my word am I going to have to work harder from now on
  5. Don't underestimate the effect a decent pair of shoes have on things like shin splints. I was always a believer that I could in run in whatever and get away with it but that bit me hard last year and had to take a month off with shin splints. I've gone out and spent a bit on some decent road and trail shoes and the difference has been amazing with managing increased mileage.
  6. You see people talking about fighting for survival and bringing someone in who can galvanize the players and get the most out of them but is it really worth it? The squad is littered with players who are simply not good enough. Survival ensures a number of them stay around, and those in charge take some credit for us surviving against all odds. Rinse and repeat we go through the same recruitment processes, the same old dross, Faes gets another 3 years, people who should be held accountable keep their jobs and the ground continues to rinse every penny out of a passive fan base. While we won't be able to shift a lot of the deadwood, certain players still have the ability to provide an option in the Championship. Young players actually get the opportunity and platform to come in and impress and we the fans should have a wider support to put pressure on the ownership to be held accountable and act on this mismanagement. A very long winded way of saying the players are responsible, but the club overall has led us down this path for long enough. Survival meets their objectives and we'll ensure some form of reward, relegation while it may have long reaching impacts on us provides more of a chance of a reset, I fear more for our future under the current regime.
  7. I get the frustration around these checks, but there's so many elements in that to check and ensure are correct with players coming from so many positions to challenge/interfere. If they rush that and get it wrong and Manchester United come back on them there would be so much sh*t caused.
  8. Even the Premier League couldn't make our lives as miserable as this, we are horrific all on our own. Who would ever have thought after those seasons in the 00s, it would be now that many of us are at rock bottom with the club?
  9. To be fair ... "They ran themselves into the ground today, it was a hot day as well for them, but they pressed the game, they kept fighting."
  10. Massive myth in football, Ampadu and Roden constantly referred to by commentators as brilliant defenders.
  11. Ran Barnsley parkrun yesterday off the back of a tough training week and horrendous weather, I felt miles off it. Couldn't believe it when I clocked in just 12s away than my best time around there. This comes off the back of trusting the process of running longer and slower in training with no real speed work in yet.
  12. I fully support this however just a few thoughts: - I think it's the wrong route to ask for communication and transparency when talking about what's going on at board level and around PSR etc. Your never going to get that from a club competing at the top of the pyramid in the English game, I don't know of any club that does. - I do however agree the communication between the club and fans groups is massively lacking around fans concerns with the club, the new fan engagement role or whatever it was seems to be an empty role - I agree with others that going down the personal route isn't the way to take it, there needs to be accountability across all levels of leadership at the club. While the DoF is clearly not performing to expected levels, the club is operating questionably in all areas - My biggest gripe and I think one that resonates with others but feels like it hasn't been touched upon is that to the rest of the world we may be Leicester City, but to us the supporters it feels like we are very much Leicester only in name and King Power FC in every sense, we have, lost our club. As I say, no hate, I fully support this, just my thoughts after today.
  13. He's got to figure something out up top, whether that's bleeding a young lad into the team, or changing the system, but we're asking far too much from an aging Vardy.
  14. This is the same linesman who only last Feb wrongly ruled out the Daka goal that cost us at Leeds...
  15. He has done his interview with other outlets, I imagine it's just our clubs inefficiency rather than any significant development.
  16. They can both go for me, I'm fed up of King Power being plastered everywhere, fed up of our owners inaction, and fed up of nothing football. What concerns me isn't that we are bad, I genuinely don't think we are, it's that we are just an ineffective club who do nothing on or off the pitch, we dont attack, we don't defend, we don't have any form of plan to develop as a club, we are simply happy to exist and rinse our fans of their money in return for sitting in a morgue watching a whole load of nothingness.
  17. Do we still get the post-match interviews from @moore_94? Interested to hear what Ruud has to say...
  18. We were doing better with someone else?
  19. Steady mate, those on here won't you have say anything good about the bloke who didn't have a clue...
  20. Yet much worse found a way to grind some points out earlier in the season despite supposedly having no plans, no clue and no idea.....
  21. Maybe why they have gone for it from the off
  22. Brilliant start from Bournemouth, they have some serious talent in their team and are a joy to watch!
  23. I was speaking to someone the other day around Man City and their view was that even if their found guilty they have the financial power to challenge each case/charge and outlast the PL who will get to a point where they are taking a big financial hit?
  24. Thanks all, I'll crack on with getting Spiderman finished then get onto BG3! Sounds pretty different to anything I have played previously.
