An average of 27 games a season over 8 years highlights the issues with this club. We've basically paid him for 4 seasons to do **** all. Was a top player for about 2 seasons and injuries curtailed his career. I don't dislike the bloke and wish him well, but should have left years ago and that guard of honour vid is just cringe

My fave times as a fan have generally been under younger British managers that have had some lower league experience. The likes of Little, O'Neill and Pearson. Obviously Ranieri is an exception. I'd rather go down this route than going for some wanky named coach coaching U23's at a Prem club. Therefore Stuart Maynard or David Challinor for me

Damien Durand would be a decent signing at L1. Plays at Red Star in France, had a decent season, out of contract and his wages would be low also (so my Parisian friend says)
