Very true but I would imagine if he ends up at Bristol City this may be an option, as he'll only he a backfill until Dickie is back. I think he's done his hamstring so timings would fit. If City want him to have a full season actually playing in the Champs then a different club may be the order of the day.

Oh you are spot on about Mr Ashton. Hard to think of many more poisonous names down at the Gate. The main achievement of Niges time down here was to get the club back on an even financial keel, but very much to the cost of the football side of things.

It must be the masochist in me, so many threads, so many mediocre players, with the absolute nadir being a thread that has already reached 6 pages and we still don't know which player has actually been tenuously linked. You may be right of course but there is a bit of confirmation bias at play here after only 1 competitive game, in assuming that a player who has pretty much zero Premier League experience is somehow going to be definitely better than a player who has already been proven to be a decent, if unspectacular Premier League performer. Maybe we give it a few games before we make such definitive statements and hope that both players become key and integral elements of our squad, as we will certainly need this over such a long and arduous season.
