Was always going to end up managing Bilbao. He's a Basque legend. Seems like a really good guy as well, and seems to be leaving on good terms. I'm sure Bournemouth have been planning for this for a while, so will have a decent replacement lined up.

The reason we got stuck with someone as mediocre and unimaginative as Rowett, is yet again down to a lack of decisive decision making by the individuals who run our club. Unlike say Norwich or Soton who didn't mess around in getting rid of useless and therefore allowing themselves some breathing space to be a bit more imaginative in their manager recruitment, we just let things meander and then almost on a whim got rid without any semblance of a plan to replace. Panic stations then ensue and we end up with someone who is the very definition of mediocre, which is obvious if you look at his record over his whole career. Might be enough to just keep us up. Might not. Either way under no circumstances should he be the manager of any club with any ambition at the start of next season.
