Spoke to my Norwich supporting friend about this chap.... According to the local media / supposed ITKs over there, apparently everyone is after this fella! His view of him watching week in and out home and away. Pros Classy on the ball Good vision Good finisher. Cons Very weak Very slow. (sounds quite similar to another player we bought from Norwich whose name escapes me...). He reckons he'll end up in a slower paced, less physical league in mainland Europe. Let's see.

I can believe it unfortunately, which is a terrible indictment of the political mindset in the US, particularly when you look across to what seems acceptable as regards the candidates for President and VP on the other side...basically anything. A brilliant country in many ways but totally unfathomable in others.

Trump is just too old to be president. Oldest nominee in US history and certainly not totally compos mentis. He'll get destroyed by any half way decent Dem nominee.

Newsom is the worst candidate they could pick. Much too leftist by American standards and not seen as much of a success outside of his base in California.

Biden has been one of the most economically successful presidents in recent US history but maybe that isn't important any more as he and his followers don't wear a tampax on their ears...

He's brilliant but as you say a bit too gay for a lot of Americans. However I love America and feel that outside the MAGA cult most Americans don't want orange man as president again, so (hopefully) will gather behind whoever gets the Dem nomination now. Game on.

I thought he was going to kick on last season but regressed a bit. Don't think the system Bristol City play suits him though. Very good finisher but lacks pace and I think performs best when he has a strike partner. Not good enough for us.

On a cruise ship. God knows what channel we had but had Peter Drury on comms and no half time punditry, which was a massive positive. Massive negative was we had Don Goodman on co comms. Still not as annoying as Lee Dixon though who I'm sure did the ITV broadcast, which nobody would have watched.

Yeah it genuinely feels a much more intelligent cabinet, with actual life experience. Not simply appointed because of what school they went to. Also experts appointed into briefs they have experience of (e.g. CSO as Science Minister rather than the previous incumbent who used to work for Marie Claire!). Positive stuff.

He is a brilliant appointment to be Prisons Minister. His business model is unique and works. Feels like the grown ups are in charge again.
