  1. Labour will sort their act out before the next general election, so although a bad night for then (and they'll have a few more before things get better) not the end of the world. Genuinely think though this is worse for Reform and shows a trend following both the by elections we had in Scotland and Wales recently. They seem to have a strong core vote but it has quite a low ceiling, and the disproportionate amount of publicity they get on the TV and in the written press, can be detrimental rather than beneficial to them, as more people get exposed to their rhetoric. Another example last night being the totally ungracious response to losing by Goodwin. For so many people it will be "anyone but Reform" at the next GE, and I think that proportion of people will only increase as time goes by.
  2. Err when is Vestergard fit again? God I feel horrible saying that.
  3. Hope you guys win today. Hopefully they'll have had a wake up call following the semi final which they should have lost.
  4. By the time we get around to appointing someone, he / she will probably be of age..
  5. Man I thought Delaney was going to go right to the top of the game. I was wrong. I'm often wrong.
  6. And he only got sacked because be fell out with an egomaniac owner. Bristol City fans love him. Anyway this isn't another Pearson thread. Good luck Rowett. You're really gonna need it.
  7. I'm good at writing in a little notepad. And have very small hands...
  8. Loving the Winter Olympics. Enjoying how most of the competitors seem to be having such a great time and the levels of sportsmanship. There seems to be genuine joy for those that are successful from those they are up against, irrespective of nation state etc. Feels kind of old fashioned yet extremely modern at the same time.
  9. Our first ever Olympic gold on the snow! Thrilling stuff.
  10. You're correct. There is genuinely no point trying to get those type of people onside. It's pure cognitive dissonance and you just can't rationalise with that. Points deduction....someone else's fault. Club goes into administration....someone else's fault. Etc etc. Ignore them and just accept they'll be there in the stadium clapping the team off when there is no team there to actually support.
  11. Honestly I think I'd take him at the moment. Anyone tbf. King is as culpable as any of the coaching team we've had over the last year or so for our failings and should have been drummed out with the rest of them. Only sentiment and laziness from our incompetent leadership, means that he finds himself in the position he is now. Feel sorry for him as you can tell he knows he's not up to the job and why should he be at this stage of his career.
  12. Mugs the lot of then. Probably clapped them off as well.
  13. I don't think we'll bother to get a manager. What's the point. We're doing so well without one.
  14. Jeez we're doing a great job of ****ing his career
  15. As I said previously Manning is very much a safety first manager who is not a huge fan of playing youth or flair, who is trying to resurrect his career following the Norwich disaster. Also they're getting results now, which is even worse for Alves. He won't get a sniff there so let's get him back and in our first team squad, and we can finally see if he's any good.
  16. Must be up there. I remember when we played Charlton away at Upton Park as the Valley was shut, in I think the Little days when it must have been a similar amount. Half the ground was shut off as the Charlton fans were boycotting, but they had to open one of the stands down the side because of the sheer amount of City fans packed in behind the goal. Had a nice kick about on the pitch with an over sized beach ball as they moved us. Think we lost 2 0 with Rob Lee scoring the goals.
  17. I'd like to bet we won't win the cup game...unless of course we appoint a competent manager who can organise a team in the next couple of days....which we won't.
  18. Yeah I got 50s the draw at 3 0, cashed out as soon as they equalised and put a portion of my winnings on the away win. It's pretty easy to make money on that bunch of spineless willy pullers most weeks, but it's manna from heaven the few times they take the lead to smash into the in plays.
  19. Cos it'll all be the EFLs fault!
  20. If we can do books as well... Ricardo - Remembrance of Things Past
  21. Yeah good result for us. Norwich will end up nowhere near a relegation battle but Blackburn will.
  22. I'd be very much surprised if Sammy is lining up against Bristol City. I'd imagine it's the Gas he is hopefully putting to the sword.
  23. Well they were both PE teachers (one of them should still be) so maybe there is some Facebook group they're both members of...
  24. It really wouldnt be like us at all...
  25. I thought that was Ashley Williams but could have been him as well.
