At least it should encourage the young uns to register to vote...mandatory Maths to 18 then mandatory military service or compulsory volunteering (...how does that even work), then who knows what. I imagine the vast majority of match going fans would vote to get rid of VAR. Therefore the clubs will overwhelmingly vote to keep it.

Elections are won in the centre ground and as we've seen once again in the local elections, the majority of people voted for centre or centre left parties. Most British people are basically decent and moderate in their views, and the more parties move to the left or the right then the more they alienate the masses. To me that is extremely reassuring.
