I'd expand this particularly for away matches where individuals get up and disrupt the rest of us 3 or more times throughout the game. Happens way too often and they can't all have chronically weak bladders!

Daka will come good. Good football brain, pace to burn. Those two assists to Madison tonight, Iheanacho would never have made. Just needs this season under his belt. Even took Thiago a season and a half to acclimatise!!

So disappointed by that! Mendy was great first 35 minutes. By 60 mins he was mentally and physically shot to pieces. Evans and Fofana, you could sense their utter frustration, started to move the ball out, bypass our whole midfield and even go looking for it in the box! Game management is so substandard. I hate timewasting and Schmeichel was guilty from minute 35 onwards. Playing ball back to Schmeichel constantly by Evans, Fofana, Mendy and Castagna - accident waiting to happen and so negative. Everton were shockingly bad and there for the taking. The game was screaming out for Daka with his pace as he terrorised them.when he did come on belatedly. Have what you hold rather than go for jugular seems to be Rodgers' Way of thinking, and it clearly isn't working.

Fofana is already world class.

Tippy tappy, far too indulgent at times. Sometimes you just have to beat your man, get it in the mixer and/or get a shot away.

Coda - essentially a coming of age film. Well acted, very watchable with a few interesting USPs. But for me, it was by no means exceptional and certainly not Oscar worthy.

"Broken Greek" by Pete Paphides. Going down memory lane with music for those of a certain age!
-
Pope was incredible. That save from Ricardo, and the two from Barnes - world class. Could easily have been 5 or 6. Our best performance for months.

The Get Carter soundtrack is probably my favourite, from any film, followed closely by the obvious one, Jaws. North by Northwest also a great shout!

It is lovely. Embarrassed that I haven't been here before. On way to Sintra now.

Was at the game. Incredible atmosphere, better and more vociferous even than our away match v Atletico. Unlike UK stadiums, every part of the ground sang/ chanted. They also had an eagle with Benfica colours on its talons circle the pitch a for a few laps pre match before landing on its perch cemtre circle, to the rapturous applause of the crowd. Good game to watch for the neutral too. Thought Ajax would run away with it but to be fair to Benfica, once they realised they had the legs of the Ajax defenders they were far more direct and threatening, and thorpughly deserved the point. Apart from the smoking in the ground which was rife, it was a fantastic spectacle from start to finish. Highly recommended.

Played well for most of the game. Lookman was exceptional and his end product, even excluding the goal, is better than that currently produced by Barnes.

Glasshouse was an interesting watch. About an airborne virus that erases the memory. Thought provoking.

Liverpool 2-0 Leicester - Post Match Thread

Thought Lookman and Maddison did well tonight tbf. Kasper excellent. The rest not so much. Endeavour without any cutting edge, quality or real belief. -
Not that I'd bet it, but Foxes 6/4 to finish bottom half of table (Bet 365) probably about 50% more generous odds than they should be. I'd price them at Evens.

R.I.P Douglas Trumbull and thank you for your incredible body of work. Directed one of my favourite films, Silent Running.

By censorship, I mean free to tell that "joke". Was it offensive? Yes. Was it funny? Not particularly. Has it stirred up anti Roma sentiment? Not really; quite possibly the opposite now with the public outcry. Should he be free to tell that joke again? Absolutely. The general public will doubtless determine his fate. It should be noted that it hasn't stopped the likes of Baddiel (Anne Diamond still birth), Frankie Boyle (Harvey joke) or David Schneider (also as disparaging as Carr about the Roma community). They were all equally, if not more appalling, and just as unfunny. Those three "comedians" joked in haste, and are now repenting at their leisure. Carr will doubtless do likewise.
-
Increasing censorship is not the way forward. The joke he told wasn't funny to me, but it was to others. There *can* be some very funny jokes that are in extremely bad taste. Ricky Gervais at the Golden Globes and his reference to the film "Two Popes" being a very good example. If we pandered to to every individual's sensitivities and objections there would be very few jokes able to be told. And that would be to society's detriment.

Be in no doubt, because I live here and a lot of my mates are LFC fans. They won't want to just beat us, they will want to annihilate and embarrass us. The "feed the scousers" chant pre xmas - they can take it or leave it. But the waving of the S*n in their faces - that's made it personal. They will be motivated to the hilt. We're certainly going to need to grow a pair as a team, and fast. I'm there but with zero expectations. Let's hope Salah and Mane are too knackered after tonight's game to feature.

Narcos: Mexico. Season 3. At least as good, if not better, than the previous 2 seasons. Like the serial killer thread being added into to the drug ganglord supremacy narrative.

Have an "irrational" disdain for Liverpool FC and their fans. Heightened by last wednesday's heartache. Tonight feels so good. Our patched up team v their A team. Like the away draw xmas 2019, I think we have effectively scuppered their title aspirations once again 💙⚽️🦊

Liverpool vs Leicester (cup) post match
Mythyaar replied to SecretPro's topic in Leicester City Forum
No, neither. Both incredible matches, as was Watford play off, again wasn't there either. Nearest I can say I've been to drama like last night was Man City away 3-2 ( Fuchs, Mahrez) champions season, or the Norwich "earthquake" Ulloa last minuter! -
Liverpool vs Leicester (cup) post match

I'd say that was the most dramatic game I've ever attended. Kudos to Rodgers for going for it and fielding such a strong team. Unbelievable goals from Vardy and a whisker away from being one of maybe only a few to score a first half hat trick in the kop end in one half for the opponents (wonder if that feat has ever been achieved?!) Every time we went forward we were dangerous. Maddison's goal looked sensational though someone on the radio later said it took a deflection? I thought at one point it was going to be a cricket score. I guess the turning points were the injury to Soyuncu and the premature subbing of Daka, who was superb again. Once those two events happened, we really increased the time wasting tactic, which really didn't work. We didn't press or attack like we had first half. Soumaré, who'd been pretty good first half, looked shattered and Tielemans seemed off the pace for most of the game tbf. When they equalised last minute of the game it was a real gut punch and we sensed the worse. Exhilarating, dramatic game with a really terrible outcome and loads of talking points. The officials had stinkers I thought. One of their players should have seen red for Ricardo challenge, they completely "missed" a blatant elbow even though the linesman was 2 yards from it. Same linesman allowed play to go on and LFC to attack when the ball had clearly gone a foot out of play......makes you wonder, is VAR really that bad of a concept? Hate losing to Liverpool in particular who at times, despite their protestations that you will never walk alone, can be a classless club (look how they treated Karius post the Real Madrid final). However, it was beyond disappointing that some of our own fanbase stooped to the depths of waving copies of The S#n and screaming "murderers". -
If it weren't for "the cat", and because we were such slow starters, we'd ve been 4-0 down after 15 mins in most games. Incredible shot stopping and agility 👏👌⚽️

Last Night in Soho. Well made and acted 60s retro film. Some hammer house of horrors vibes to it. Enjoyed it very much.
