  1. His awareness of others in better situations, and a willingness to play them in rather than go for glory himself, is what really impresses me. That kind of footballing intelligence is often lacking in strikers, can't be taught and distinguishes good from potentially great players.
  2. Great to keep clean sheet. Daka's awareness and selflessness is a rare trait in strikers. He is going to be a monster for us in the years to come.
  3. We couldn't keep a clean sheet in the National league, let alone the Europa conference league. Our defence today was utterly shambolic and I can't see where our next clean sheet is coming from.
  4. We're no more or less hysterical than any other fanbase. So, the answer to your question is, no.
  5. 14 prem games now without keeping a clean sheet. I'm not sure what the "record" for us is, but we're certainly in dangerous territory now. First thing the "rescue" managers such as Big Sam do is make it very difficult for the opposition to score against them. That has to be Rodgers' priority now: a clean sheet at all costs and rebuild from there.
  6. Nothing. 2 weeks and counting....
  7. Once upon a time in the west
  8. Would like 2 tickets for this if any spare. 1 adult and 1 child but will take 2 adults. Already got an option for 2 with home fans in Bullens Rd end - superb view. But would rather suffer with the worst restricted view seats imaginable with Leicester fans if possible!!
  9. It isn't just his ability being back. He's clearly been working at his game. The left foot finish on Thursday, he's always been able to use his left peg but it's getting stronger/ more reliable now. He's putting the hard yards in training. Good to see him back as he's a massive player for us when on song/ confidence has returned.
  10. He failed in a few passes last night due to over ambition. That ambition and positive mentality still needs to be commended. He needs a longer spell in the starting line up.
  11. Lamb. Very strange but interesting Icelandic film.
  12. We needed a blinder last January.
  13. It was a great season and we did play extremely good football and not get our due rewards early on in the season. I remember when we lost 2-1 away at Arsenal and Wenger was genuinely perplexed how we could be bottom. Then we played Liverpool off the park at their place only to be trailing 2-0 at half time to 2 dubious Gerrard pens (neither would have been given now with VAR). And yet we came back second half - two great great goals Schlupp and Nugent. Should have actually won it from there. But we'd established the belief we needed to survive. Also got a bit lucky at Burnley away - what an incredible game that was to attend. And of course 5-3 United - Cambiasso! A memorable season.
  14. He sets his teams up well. Tactically very astute. Excellent man manager and seems a thoroughly respectful and decent individual. He has over performed in the Premier League. His career is on an upward trajectory and he will have more than a point to prove if he came to us. If Rodgers left, which I don't want but expect will.happen sooner rather than later, I for one would welcome Potter's appointment.
  15. It's a one horse race and his name is Graham Potter. He would be an excellent fit for our club.
  16. Keeping clean sheets again is number 1 priority.
  17. Come and See. A Belarusian film made around 1986, about the German invasion/ occupation during the second world war. Watched it for the first time last night. Incredible - particularly the performance from the lead role, through whose eyes we see the true horrors of war. Some disturbing and upsetting scenes so not one for the faint-hearted. But if you can stomach that, it delivers a very powerful and important message about man's inhumanity to man. A classic.
  18. First time I've seen Daka in the flesh and thought he did brilliantly. Pace aside, his touch is great and his decision making, selflessness/ through balls were top class. Needs to work on his aerial threat but other than that, he looked the real deal tonight.
  19. My immediate reaction is yes. Would he jump ship if offered the Man U job? 100% he would, let's not pretend otherwise. And he will probably be their number 1 target now, Liverpool connection or not.
  20. Two sublime moments of quality from Youri. The controlled rocket and the through ball for our second. We're very fortunate to have him.
  21. Would settle for a nil-niller!
  22. I put this up on here a few months back. Great series isn't it? Gomorrah isn't on UK netflix but is also brilliant.
  23. Vardy finish utterly sublime
  24. Hanging on so badly 2nd half that we wasted more time than Burnley did last week!
  25. West Brom in April, five months ago. We were superb that day though, for the full 90 minutes.
