The kit looks alright on its own, but £70 is a joke and the sponsor is disappointing. I know you can get it without, but it looks even more like a training top then - the pics with Filbert makes it look like something from Sports Direct... The training kits look half decent at least and still have the King Power sponsor, so if I bother this season I'll 100% be getting that instead. Bet they're massively overpriced as well, mind...

Was (and still am) a bit sceptical of the Cooper appointment, but I'm definitely warming to him now and seems like the u21s (and younger) are gonna get a proper chance under him. Hopefully they can all live up to expectations and it pays off - could save (and make!) us a fortune if we can get them into the first team.

Thanks. Second time going through the process after our first one fell through (before the survey) but that was going better and quicker than anticipated until that point, this time its a bit more 'typical' so to speak, so hopefully we can get it all resolved without too much extra stress. Very short chain (us, our vendor and their empty onward purchase) so hopefully that gives us some bargaining power if we threaten to pull out... We're still only 3 months in from the first viewing (of this house) so can't complain too much about the timescale, really!

Got our survey back this week (lvl 3 which was maybe slightly overkill) and theyve quoted £14k+ for work that needs doing (purchase price of £225k). Obviously some of that is over the top and wont cost that much or isnt urgent, but other stuff is slightly concerning - some damp issues, brickwork that needs attention etc etc. May need to go back in and renegotiate. Slightly concerning and need to assess our options now. Tired of the whole process after our last one fell through (no fault of our own) and really just want to get it over the line and done with. But also dont want to get saddled with an expensive money sink. Doesnt help that we're going away on holiday this time next week, which is just going to delay everything even more

We might not have much right now, but equally we're restricted in what we're going to be able to spend so its a bit of both. If he's good at finding a way to make what he has work to minimise the reliance on getting players in then its definitely a good thing. Not ideal, but making the most of a tricky situation for sure.

The carbon plated ones tend to be more geared for race-day running, so are built for maximum performance with a relatively short 'life' before they start breaking down. There's no reason you can't run in them as your regular trainer, but for most people the extra benefit aint worth the (far) higher cost/mile and its just overkill. Get down to a running shop and test a few out if you can - all the big brands have a good range of options for different purposes, but its very much a personal thing as to what works for you. I know a few people who swear by Saucony Kinvaras as their daily shoe but they played havoc with my ankles, I ended up settling for Brooks Adrenaline as my regular shoes and Nike Pegasus for races. Just getting back into it now after a few years off and picked up a pair of UnderArmour Hovr Sonic's for £30 from sports direct and they seem to fit me quite well so far, picking up last season's models can definitely net you a bargain as there's usually very little difference between releases.

Everyone wins. Bumper payday for Steadfast, we get a cracking player for a fair price, and Sporting get £7m for a player they've not really had to do anything with.

Said to each other that we'd take our time this time around, not rush into making an offer on something... Next one we saw hit all our criteria, put in an offer under asking as the first people to view it, and accepted the next morning . Not getting too excited just yet - sellers still need to find their onward purchase and after the last one fell through we're trying not to get too attached. Likely going to end up in more of a chain than last time, so not expecting it to move along quite so quickly this time around...

The AIP shouldn't really be property-dependent, its basically just a letter from the bank saying they'd be prepared to offer you a mortgage up to X amount. When we started looked our mortgage advisor applied for our AIP before we'd even viewed anything, and it came back at ~£280k despite us having a hard-cap of £250k on any potential house due to our ISA terms. The house we offered on initially was £222k. We would've been able to use that same AIP for the second property we found after the first fell through, except it expired the day before it was required so we had to reapply Somehow, the (same) bank decided that this time - only a couple months later - they'd be willing to lend us an extra £75k on top of that Not that we'd even dream of spending that much on a house anytime soon...

Cresswell and Trippier were ridiculously good that season, so Konchesky and RDL not making it in isnt too surprising. And as good as Vardy has been since, that season he was far from the standout striker in the league (16 goals, McCormack got 28 and several others hit 20+) and Nugent's 20 included 11 penalties... It's a pretty fair XI, all in all!

How the hell is Faes still in the starting XI every single week. At least one critical mistake every single match. Coady or even Nelson would be an improvement.
