  1. I understand your sentiment. But if by bottom we could say youth, it' not all bad when we consider the potential of Monga, Page, Nelson, Aluko and others for all I know
  2. Show Marti the love. Let him know we’re with him, thus giving him the confident to be bold in his selections and tactics. We’ve been through so many managers, we cannot afford to keep hiring and firing.
  3. We were bloody lucky to beat Rotherham away in early September, too. Lots of teams were scared of us two years ago. Not so much now
  4. “Is there any kind of plan, Top? Anything?
  5. I’m going to bite your hand off for mid table
  6. I think both points of view may be correct. Local lad, genuine Leicester fan, good human being. But may not be a good enough footballer. The last point does not detract from the validity of the previous ones.
  7. I sense you’re arguing with me even though we agree!
  8. No disrespect intended to Woyo, but why on earth did we sign him in January? He's made no impact whatsoever, adds nothing, and is in a position where we have too much cover already. It makes me wonder if a number of brown envelopes may have been involved
  9. I think we may be well beaten. My aspirations for this season are as follows: survive in the championship stabilise the finances offload as many surplus to requirement players as possible progress as many young players as possible start next season with a decent team spirit, the ability to make squad additions, and 4 young players currently on the fringes as first team regulars
  10. Well, a Moroccan chap I know who loves his football tells me Moroccan press are convinced Bilal will stay with us this season.
  11. You don't just give up on Leicester City because something bad happens.
  12. Absolutely agree. Quite superb throughout. Let’s hope the club gets back on its feet and they do ok this season
  13. My understanding is that it was because they wanted a shorter tournament - thus only 8 teams. I quite like the Hundred. After all, it’s just another form of cricket. Some games will be close, others won’t. But it is instantly forgettable! You could also argue there is now more cricket in August, as you have the Hundred games and the one day cup. And the finance County will receive from the proceeds of the franchise sale are pretty extraordinary. £28 million I think.
  14. I understand - just wondered if we will see him this season
  15. Is Ben Mike out for the whole season?
  16. Claudio was and is the nicest man ever
  17. Yep, Leicestershire received £400,000 today which they can spend as they wish. But when they get the larger amounts they have to clear debt first, which is right and proper. Then they must make long term investments rather than simply going after high profile players. Clearly need to make the ground produce income all year round. Perhaps they could tear down the Meet, make it into a first class meeting and conference venue for example, with a little bit of seating in front of it. Richard Thompson, ECB chair, interviewed on TMS at lunchtime, was an interesting listen
  18. Surely time for County to have its own forum section…… team news Other teams that can’t catch us transfers and loans Jarvis out Kimber Rehan O’Shaughnessy Leaving after three and a half days
  19. What a superb wag of our tail. Scriven and Hull have been excellent
  20. Scriven’s first class average is about 4 higher than Kimber. I feel he’s more a number 7 than Kimber, who is frankly a fraud of a player
  21. 3 wickets yesterday. 17 today
  22. We have played idiotic cricket these last two overs. Kimber’s shot reaches a new level of stupid. We were racing to comfortably over 200, and now we will be all out for about 180. Really stupid.
  23. Sadly so. Too many of our batters have under performed sadly. Rishi is a super player in my opinion but has had a bad season thus far. Masood very disappointing. So too Kimber, but that’s less of a surprise. Hope the return of Holland can lift our four day season when that resumes next week
  24. The 'five things' approach is excellent. Clear, concise comms, and setting a baseline. Well done all, and thank you
